"Samantha I already told you I am going to go to this business trip, it is important. My companies are thriving all over the world and I need to go" Chase hissed.
My husband was a successful business man, and owned many companies around the world. Work for him got hectic, that sometimes he would forget he had a family. Chase loved us so much, but being wealthy and living in California was too much.
We have three beautiful children. Our oldest is Grayson and is a mature little boy, even though he is only seven. And our surprise, was our twins. They were not planned, but they are my world. Mason and Emma, there are so adorable. They are only four months.
At this moment Chase was having an argument with me about a business trip to New Jersey. I did not want him to go at all. I heard there might be a storm hitting, while he was there. I kept nagging him and telling him he was not going.
"You are not going Chase Michaels. I already told you there might be a storm. It is too risky." I screamed. We were at home while the babies were at my Mom's, and Grayson was at school. He was about to leave to work but he was being hold up by me. He approached the conversation when he was about to leave.
"This is important Sam you cannot hold me from this. I need this at this moment." he said, grabbing his coat and putting it on.
"I do not care, Chase you do not need to go. Your life is more valuable and you need to relax." I retorted.
"Whatever Samantha at least I have not been slacking off these past weeks. You are leaving work early and coming home early too." He retorted.
I frowned and his statement. It was true I have been slacking lately. I have been feeling tired lately and one little thing can stress me out. This family runs on stress.
"What are you trying to say Chase?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.
I knew what he meant but I tried to stall so maybe I could persuade him to stay.
"You have been lazy Sam. When I come home you are either laying down or asleep. We hardly spend time together. I bet that you even forgot our anniversary." He screamed. He was mad at this point. Chase rarely gets mad at me, and when he does he is either stresses or hiding something.
I thought about what he said. Our anniversary was on March 8. Today was the 9th. Oh god I forgot our anniversary. I have been so caught up on sleep and stress that I totally forgot. How could I forget I had this day circled in the calendar and on my iPhone5?
"Babe I am so sorry I forgot" I cried. His face was so soft but firm. Chase even told be yesterday to come home early, but I said I have to go to the drug store and get medicine for my migraine. Then I got so tired and fell asleep. By the time he was home I was out due to the headache and the pills I took.
"Are you really Samantha? You are not the one who came home to find you asleep in a guest bedroom. A guest room really?!" he hissed.
"Hey I was to worn out to walk all the way to our room. And plus I had left a Emma's bib and I needed to wash it." I said.
"Whatever I have to go now, I am running late. Do not call me today I am busy and I won't be home early today either." He harshly said. "Oh and do not forget the kids, or do I have to remind you about that too" he continued.
As soon as he closed the door harshly I sat on the stairs and cried. He didn't even kiss me goodbye. I cannot believe I forgot the day we got married. How dare he also call me lazy? It was only okay if I called myself that, but not him. I will show him who is lazy. I will work tonight like crazy.
