The next morning, Margarita was all dressed up, and she gathered her supplies and joined her family downstairs for breakfast. "Buenos días," she smiled.

"Buen día, mi nena," Jesus smiled. "I hope you're ready for your first day of high school."

"Bien lista, Papi," Margarita beamed. "I'm looking forward to seeing what my first year has to offer."

"And we're looking forward to hearing about your day tonight," Elena said.

Margarita was really excited to start high school, and she couldn't wait to get started.

After breakfast, Olga drove her sisters to school in her car.

"I have a great feeling about this school year," Margarita beamed.

"That's good, mija," Rafa smiled.

The sisters had just about reached the school, but as Olga was about to pull into the parking lot, a shiny mint green limousine quickly pulled in front of her, causing her to slam the brake and honk her horn.

"Honestly, shouldn't you get your vision checked?" Rafa snarled at the careless limo driver.

"Doesn't anyone care about safety anymore?" Margarita frowned.

"From what we can see, I highly doubt it," Olga said, pulling into the parking lot.

Once the limousine parked in front of the building, the chauffer came out and opened the door, allowing a snotty girl with strawberry blonde hair to come out.

"Honestly, some people just don't understand that they should let fancy people go first," the girl sniffed.

"It seems that way, Miss Amber," the chauffer agreed.

Many of the students had seen the limo pull into the parking lot in front of Olga's car, and they weren't happy that it almost caused an accident—and they were especially unhappy that this snotty rich girl was too caught up in herself to care about safety.

Inside the building, Amber was with two friends from middle school, and she was applying lipstick.

"Amber, how great is it that we're in high school now?" the brunette beamed.

"More than great, Karlene—it's fantabulous," Amber smiled.

"Who knows what we're going to do here?" the redhead asked.

"I do, Charlotte," Amber smirked. "We're going to do lots of grownup stuff here, and the teachers are sure to be impressed." Then she saw a teacher coming her way, and it appeared that she'd caught his attention. "Here comes one now."

The three girls got into position, hoping this teacher would be impressed with how grown up they were, but he walked past them, to their dismay. It turned out he'd just seen the Martinez sisters.

"Olga, Rafa, good to see you," said the teacher.

"Hi, Mr. Prescott," Olga smiled.

"Oh, Margarita, so glad you could come," Mr. Prescott smiled. "I look forward to seeing what art you come up with."

"Oh, thank you," Margarita blushed.

"Well, the freshmen are all here, so you stay here with them until it's time to go to homeroom," Mr. Prescott told her.

"We'll see you later, Margarita," Rafa said.

"Okay," Margarita smiled.

Rafa and Olga went to meet up with their respective grades, and Mr. Prescott showed Margarita where the freshmen were. Amber, Karlene, and Charlotte had seen Mr. Prescott interact with Margarita—and it made Amber quite jealous that he seemed to like her when she herself was working to get attention. Once Mr. Prescott left Margarita alone, the three girls went up to her, each showing a hateful glare.
