*Next Morning*

I awoke in my bed. The sun was shining brightly on my face. Wait, how did I get in my bed? Or in my house? I replayed the events from last in my head. Maybe it was all just a dream. But then I smelt fresh tea brewing in the kitchen. Who's here? I feared for the worst.

I slowly got up and tip-toed my way to the kitchen. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the familiar mop of dark brown curls.

"H-Harry?"

"Oh good, you're awake. Sleep well?"

"Yeah. But how did you get in?"

"I took the keys out if your purse. You were sleeping, and I didn't wanna wake you."

"Oh. Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, what is it, babe?"

"What was the 'package' Dan was talking about?"

"Don't worry about it. It doesn't concern you."

He replied angrily. I think I was starting to fall for him. What?! No. I can't. He could still be a rapist or a murderer.

"Um... Harry?"

"Yeah, Liz?"

"Why do you care so much about me? I mean, we haven't formally met. I still know pretty much nothing about you, but you seem to know everything about me. Why do you want to protect me so much?"

"Well, it all started out with your dad."

Wait, how did he know my dad? My parents died in a car crash five years ago.

"How did you know my dad, Harry?"

***Flashback (Harry's POV)***

It was raining hard, a downpour in fact. I was broke, young, and stupid. I was walking. I don't know where. Where did have to go? Suddenly, a black van pulled up across the road, and three muscular men jumped out, and one stayed in the driver'a seat. The alcohol must have been slowing me down, because it took me a minute to process what was happening. But by the time I had, it was already too late. The men were already carrying me, and one put a cloth over my mouth. Then everything went black.

When I awoke, I was tied to a chair, and was in a dimly lit room.

"Oh good, you're awake. We have business to discuss, Mr.Styles."

"Who are you, and what do you want?!"

I screamed angrily.

"Woah, easy tiger. We can do this the easy way, or my way, your pick."

I just simply nodded.

"Good. I'm glad you've chosen to listen to me. Now we can discuss our business. I have a proposition for you. You work for me now. Got it?"

Again, I just nodded.

"Good. Now, here, we buy, sell, smuggle, and deliver drugs. It's not that hard, as long as you don't get caught. You get the right package to the right person on time, you get paid. You don't, you pay. Let me lay out the rules for you:

1. Don't get caught.

2. Deliver things on time, to the right person

3. Don't make many friends. Because if you do, you automatically risk them getting hurt.

4. Keep your mouth shut about operations

5. Don't mix your personal life with work, period.

Now then. Those are pretty much the rules. Let me introduce myself. I'm Ron Edwards."

*End of flashback. Still Harry's POV*

I was twenty when it happened. Liz was eighteen at the time. Ron and I had grown pretty close over the one year we were together. So close, that I trusted him the most, and he trusted me the most. I knew he had a wife and daughter, but I had never met them. They didn't know that he was really the head of a major drug dealing operation. It wouldn't be safe for them to meet me anyways. It would only put them in danger. I had seen Liz a couple of times, but had never spoken to her. But all that would soon change. Five years ago, Ron and his wife were driving home from the movies. They had left Liz at home, and Ron asked me to watch over her. Unseen of course. When they were coming down the street that their house was on, a car with an enemy drug dealer rammed into them head-on. I called the cops, and ran as fast as I could to the car. Ron's wife, Elaine, was already dead. She was killed instantly. So was the enemy drug dealer. Ron wasn't dead yet. But he was dying. I drug him out of the car, and sat on the pavement with him. He looked up at me with pain-filled eyes. The last words he whispered before he died were,

"Don't let anything happen... to... Liz."

And with that, his final wish, he was gone. I quickly fled the scene, not wanting to be there when the police came. I guess Liz had heard the crash happen, because as I was running down the street, back to my car, she came running out of the house. When she saw her parents' car, and her dad lying on the ground, she screamed in terror and ran towards the scene. The police and ambulance were already pulling up, so I just kept running. A week later, I got a call from one of the guys who worked with me. He asked where I had been and what happened. I told him about what happened to Ron. Then I said,

"I'm done."

And ended the call. I hadn't heard from them until a couple of days ago. I thought I had finally gotten out of the business. But something didn't feel right. It just seemed, too easy. I was right. I got a call from Dan. He told me that they 'needed me'. He said he was the new head of the operation, and that I had to deliver a package to him, or I would pay. I knew from experience that its better just to cooperate than to fight. So, I got the package. Today is when I have to deliver it to him. When he found us outside of Liz's work, I was enraged. I can't, I won't let anything happen to Liz. Not only because it was Ron's last wish, but because I love her. That's right, I said love. I've never felt this way for any other girl before. I just hope she feels the same.
