Tommy sat skittishly on the couch while the thunder roared outside. Every boom and crack it made made him more and more nervous. At the moment Techno wasn't home either.
Each sound the thunder made nearly sent Tommy spiraling, however the next loud sound sent Tommy into his headspace after being so nervous. The sound of thunder echoed through the house and Tommy saw the flash of lightning, as well as the lights flickering.
He got scared and started to cry, trying to get under some sort of blanket. He wanted Techno. He wanted his brother.
Tommy continued to sob as the thunder raged on, his face and eyes were red and tears stained his cheeks. Around forty minutes passed and Techno finally arrived home. He was soaked. He opened the door to hear the sobs of Tommy and he immediately rushed over to comfort the boy, knowing he was probably regressed
"Prince, it's okay, I'm here. It's just thunder" He said, kneeling in front of the poor kid. Tommy continued to cry, "Ih woud an- an nuh 'ike" He sobbed out. "Oh I know buddy, loud things are scary for such a small boy huh?" Techno said, now picking up the boy and hoisting him on his hip. Tommy just nodded and sniffled.
"Say little prince, let's go get your paci okay?" Techno suggested. Tommy nodded and dug his head in Techno's shoulder. Techno grabbed his pacifier and placed it up to Tommy's mouth, who took it and started sucking on it, which calmed him down.
Techno placed the boy down and Tommy began to cry again. "Oh I know bud, you don't like being put down, but I need to change out of these soggy clothes!" Techno reasoned. Techno changed quickly and then went back downstairs to sit with the boy, who's face was still red.
Techno pulled Tommy onto his lap and pulled the covers over them both. "Say prince, I think you're a little sleepy, how about you take a nap?" Techno said. "Nuh a'le" Tommy whined. "Hmm, what if I read you a story?" Techno suggested. Tommy nodded softly and leaned into Techno.
"Hmm.. how about.. the story of Theseus?" Techno said. "I al'edy heawd ih" Tommy said. "Okay okay, how about... Enders Game?" (reference to a book my dad has wanted me and my irl brother to read for forever lmao) "Uhh.. oti.." Tommy mumbled.
The two got comfy and Techno began to recite the story. Soon enough Tommy had fallen asleep and Techno laid down on the couch with him, falling asleep shortly after.
