HELPING HAND [ZARRY]

Chapter NiNeTeEn

HARRY:

He was sat at the chair right behind his mom and zaneyah listening to the introduction of the Christmas show.

'Hi, everybody, and Merry Christmas! You can go ahead and grab your seats now.
We'd like to thank you all for coming out tonight and welcome you to The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus!'
The spot light shone on the stage and his step brother Eddie was standing their announcing at the stage and crowd started to cheer and applause that's when he saw zayn coming towards him smiling crossing and passing all the chairs and sitting beside him after removing his coat and putting it on the back of his chair.

Everyone started clapping and cheering more when the spotlight moved from Eddie to the side of the stage from where Sam stepped forward and started to narrate the play quite confidently.

'Good evening and Merry Christmas Eve.
Many of you know of the man we call Santa Claus. But today you're going to hear about how he came to be. Once upon a time,
there was a mighty forest, and in that forest there was a baby who was all alone and needed to find a family to care for him and to love him and be there for him, always.'
Sam started so confidently without stumbling anywhere which made Zayn so emotional and the tears came to his eyes and when he couldn't control his emotions he just grabs Harry's hand tightly  and starting to squeeze it looking at him on his left with proudness in his eyes for Sam and harry just smiles but didn't took his hand out from Zayn's hold and saw the rest of the show with their hands attached.

'And although there are many more children than there used to be, Santa Claus never complains. For, to him, there is nothing as beautiful as a happy child. Merry Christmas!' and just like that Sam finished the play with all the cast standing behind him.

And just like that the whole crowd erupts with cheers and applauds but zayn was beaming with happiness for Sam for performing so good.

'Yes!' zayn said standing up clapping loudly rather then just cheering while sitting down.

'Yes! Let's go, Sam!' he shouts once again and nudged harry grinning widely but still looking at his nephew.

'-Whoo! -Yeah!' Anne and gemma cheered from the front for Kacey too.

'Sam!' Eddie said coming towards Sam and hugging him after the play ended. The chairs got taken away and replaced with a delicious buffet tables at the side.

'Oh! Great job! Ha!' Eddie said squeezing sam and patting him on the back

'-Thank you.' Sam said now breaking the hug and smiling.

'-See, Uncle Eddie? I knew Sam could do it.' Kacey said looking at Sam where she stands with her mother while harry puts his arms around Sam looking at him smiling.

'Your parents are gonna love the footage
your uncle got for you.' Anne said to Sam  and then looks at zayn and asked him smiling 'Do you have plans for Christmas brunch?'

'I do. I'm actually gonna be on a plane to Honolulu tomorrow afternoon.' zayn replied to her nervously which does make the smile vanished from Harry's face unconsciously.

'You're missing Christmas?'  Anne said in shock.

"Christmas happens in Hawaii, Mom." harry chimes in chuckling trying to not make the situation to get awkward at this time.

'I-I know, I know. I just thought that it would be nice to have the family over, since Doniya and Amir will likely be very tired
after driving all that way-- and with a tiny baby.' Anne rambled still trying her luck to convince zayn somehow.

'Twist-styles Christmas brunch is not to be missed.' gemma too chimed now looking at zayn too.

'The whole family is there.' Anne said raising her eyebrow slightly.

'All of 'em?' zayn inquired chuckling a bit.

-All of them!. The whole styles-twist family replied in unison.

'That is a very generous offer and I will definitely pass it along to Doniya and Amir, when they get back.' zayn speaks thankfully.

'I vote "yes".' Sam cut in between Zayn's  speech.

'Sure you do!' zayn smirked looking at sam and whispered.

'Anyway... we have to get home because someone has to help hang stockings for Santa Claus.' zayn said chuckling and looks at zaneyah who was now looking at him a bit tiredly and Zayn excused himself telling bye to everyone while harry just followed zayn in his home with Sam and zaneyah.

'You really were good tonight, Sam. You didn't even mess up!' zaneyah said to Sam proudly sitting in his bed to say goodnight to him before going to her bed.

'Thanks, ney ney.' Sam replied hugging her lovingly.

"You know your parents would've been at the play if they could." harry said interrupting their conversation standing at the bedroom door alongside zayn.

'I know.' Sam said looking at both of them.

'Your mom texted that they'd stop for the night to be safe, if they had to.' zayn said informing the children carefully.

'They can't go too fast because they have the new baby.' zaneyah shrugged telling zayn.

'That's right.' zayn replied smiling at her proudly too.

'As amazing as you were tonight, Sam,
you both need to get some sleep because tomorrow is a very special day.' zayn said a little authoritative looking at both of them with raised eyebrows.

'Goodnight!' zaneyah said kissing Sam and sprinting towards her room giggling the whole way.

'Goodnight.' Sam shouted to her snickering afterwards.

'Good job! ' zayn whispered to him and started closing the door looking at him smiling widely while going out of his room with harry.

NOTE:
So uncle Zayn is nailing his uncle duty and he's proud of Sam and me too :-)
