IN THE YEAR 115 AC, a century after Aegon's conquest of Westeros, the two last remnants of Old Valyria finally joined their houses when Visenya Velaryon was born. As brave as her father, Laenor, and as cunning as her mother, Rhaenyra, young Visenya stirred trouble wherever she went, whether it be among her brothers and cousins, or at the Royal Court.

At the death of her Aunt Laena, she was promised Vhagar, as was her namesake. Her grandfather declared it so. But in the dark one night, she was stolen by her cousin, Aemond. When the young boy's eye was cut by her younger brother, Lucerys, in defence of his sister, the Houses of Targaryen and Velaryon were never the same.

When her father passed, Visenya claimed his dragon, Seasmoke. She would join her Uncle Daemon on rides across Westeros and train with him just as her brothers trained with the Master of Swords, as per her mother's request. She would live up to the name given to her.

When the Dance of the Dragons officially began at the death of Lucerys, Visenya vowed to kill her cousins Aegon and Aemond. She was just as if not more brutal than Daemon on the battlefield. With Seasmoke beneath her, she killed hundreds of men.

But she, like many in her family, did not live to see the end of the Dance. She was killed in her ancestral home, on the steps of Driftmark. Visenya Velaryon was assassinated by the Kinslayer, her cousin, Aemond Targaryen. Her body was carried across the Narrow Sea by her dragon. She was eight and ten years of age.

TALES OF THE SEA Serpent were told all throughout the Free Cities. Said to be a descendant of Dragon Lords of Old Valyria, she sailed the seas with her fleet and her dragon. Unlike other pirates, the Serpent's crew plundered the rich Lords of Braavos, Pentos, and Volantis, and gave it to the small folk that were starved by these Lords.

No one knew who she really was, not even her crew. All that was known was that she was ruthless and cold to those that defyed her....
