"Ughh whaaattt" Xenia groaned, rolling over to grab her phone off of her bedside table. She rubs her eyes and sees the name 'Yeonjunnie' across the screen. She clicks 'answer' and puts the phone to her ear, releasing another groan into the phone.

"Junnie~ what do you want so early in the morning?", there was a chuckle on the other end of the call.

"Xen, sweetie, it's 1 pm. And we have plans so you need to get up" her best friend spoke back to her. She turned and looked at the time, gasping when she realized how late it really was.

"Shit-", she threw the blankets off of herself and swung her legs over the side of the bed. "Yeonjun I'll be ready in like 10 minutes, I'll meet you downstairs" she said quickly as she ran over to her personal bathroom, hanging up as soon as her sentence ended. She set her phone down on the bathroom counter and looked at herself in the mirror. A sigh escaped her lips, her long black hair was puffy and sticking out everywhere, and her gently tanned skin was dry and had red lines from the wrinkles of her pillowcase leaving indentations on her face. The small-framed girl squishes her cheeks together and sighs once again before turning on the faucet to start getting ready for the day.

After deciding to wear a simple pair of black cargo pants and a light grey cropped sweatshirt, she walks over to her front door and slips on her original black and white converse. Then a faint meow hums through her ears. Looking over Xenia sees her precious cat Gigi, she coos at the small black creature and pets her head gently. "I'll be home later baby" and with that she scurries out the door, jogging down two flights of stairs to the ground floor of her apartment building. Outside the doors she sees her best friend Yeonjun waiting for her, leaning against a light pole.

"Hey there sleepyhead, glad to see you finally made it" Yeonjun teases with a laugh. Xenia waves a hand at him as she approaches. "Oh shut up, you know I worked late last night and I was down here in 10 minutes just like I said I would be".

"It's actually been 13 minutes, but who's counting" he retorted, earning him an unpleasant hand gesture from the younger. He responded with a cheeky grin and waved for them to get going.

After about 10 minutes of walking the two reach a small cafe. As they opened the door you could hear the sound of a bell ringing above them. "Oh hi guys!" a cheerful voice rang through the shop.

"Hey jin!" Xenia replied, walking up to her sister who was leaning up on the counter. Yeonjin following closely behind, sending Hyejin a smile and wave.

"What can I get for you two?" Hyejin asks, leaning off the counter and opening the tablet for taking orders.

"I'll have an iced vanilla Chai tea" Xenia replies, then turning to look at Yeonjun. "I'll just have an iced Americano" he smiles. Hyejin nods and types it into the tablet, then turns to start making the two drinks. Xenia taps her phone on the terminal to pay, then goes to sit at a nearby table where Yeonjun already was.

"So what's the plan for today bestie?" the younger asks, placing her elbows on the table and leaning onto them.

"Well we have to stop by the mall to get stuff for Hyejin's birthday, then I figured we could get some dinner before work later, sound good?" Xenia turns to look at her younger sister working behind the counter, then smiles.

"Yep, sounds good to me. We have to check that kpop store when we get there, that one group she likes came out with a new album a little over a month ago and she hasn't stopped talking about it, so I want to get it for her". Yeonjun chuckles and rolls his eyes.

"You mean Stray Kids? Are they 'that one group' you're referring to?", the girl across from him rolls her eyes back at him and playfully hits his arm. "Yeah you know what I meant, I don't really know them, only a little bit of what she's told me" she glances over and sees her sister walking up to them, "Now shush, she's coming".

"Here are your drinks my loves, what do you guys have going on today?" the youngest sets the drinks down on the table and takes a seat next to her sister.

"Just going to the mall for a bit, then dinner later" the oldest of the group responds, sipping his coffee. Hyejin nods as she fidgets with her teddy bear bracelet. Her sister sees this and looks up at her.

"No luck with your soulmate yet?"

Everyone in the world has a designated person for them, their soulmate. With each of these pairings, there is a connection. Hyejin's connection is a simple chain bracelet with a small teddy bear charm on it. Both she and her soulmate have this bracelet. Hyejin hoped that working at this cat cafe would better her chances of finding her soulmate since she gets to meet so many new people every day.

She lets out a disappointed sigh, "No, not yet. But hopefully soon".

Xenia nods in understanding.

She has a completely different connection than her sister. Her's is a small heart tattoo on her wrist. From what she's noticed, it gets warmer when she gets closer to her soulmate, and assumably the same happens to the other. However, that has hardly happened. It has only gotten the slightest bit warm a couple of times for a few seconds each time. She isn't too concerned about it though. While yes she would love to find her soulmate, she is perfectly happy with the life she is living now. She has a good job, wonderful people to spend time with, and plenty of time to spend doing the things she loves. Life wasn't always this simple, but she is grateful either way.

"I think you're going to find your soulmate when you least expect it, just let time and the universe do its thing Jin" Yeonjun piped in, a cheerful and positive smile on his face. Hyejin giggled and nodded, "You're right Junnie, I just have to be positive and patient".

And with that the two oldest got up and left to start their day, giving a warm goodbye to Hyejin as they walked out the door.

Hello lovelies! I really hope you enjoyed this first part! I'm really excited for this story and I hope you love it! i'm gonna try to update every day or every other day, but I'll give you a little treat by starting out with the first three chapters all in one day! 

Also, just so you guys know in the future, heres what some of the writing style includes to avoid any confusion 

If its in italics its was the character is thinking in their head

*** means 'meanwhile'
