Thump thump thump

...

Thump thump thump

"Minho!" a voice shouts from the other side of the bedroom door.

"Dude you have to get up!" the voice shouts again, followed by more knocks on the door.

Minho slowly opens his eyes, the light shining through his partially opened curtains blinding him and causing his head to pound. He covers his eyes and groans.

"What do you want Chan?!" the younger yells back.

"You gotta get up man, we need to run errands for the house" Chan says through the closed door. Minho let out a defeated sigh as he sits up in his bed, the pain in his head getting worse as he does.

He stays still for a moment to let himself adjust to the upright position he is in. Once he feels more stable he reaches over to his bedside table and grabs the bottle of Ibuprofen, pouring two out into his hand and popping them into his mouth. Every time he goes out with the others he ends up drunk and with the worst hangover, hardly remembering the night before.

"I'm coming, just give me a minute to shower and change" he sighs, standing up from the comfortable bed that he had no desire to leave. The boy then walks over to his closet and picks his outfit for the day before carrying it over to the shared bathroom he has with the others just down the hall. Looking in the mirror he sees that he never changed out of the clothes that he wore to the club. The loose white t-shirt hanging off of one shoulder, his black skinny jeans shifted to the side making him very uncomfortable as they were digging into his groin, and his hair sticking out in every direction making it look like he was hiding birds in there. Another groan escapes his lips as he rubs his face, feeling the dried drool on his left cheek.

He turns on the water in the shower to a perfect warm temperature before slipping out of his clothes and leaving them in a pile on the floor. Stepping into the shower he feels the warm water hit his cold skin, falling down his back. He starts cleaning his hair when he feels the warmth hit his wrist, the heat causing a faint memory to resurface in his mind from the night before.

His soulmate tattoo was burning...

His eyes widen as he realizes what happened last night. While he was out drinking with Chan and Changbin his wrist was burning like he had hot coals on it. A sensation he had never felt before, which could only mean one thing... He was really close to his soulmate.

As he rinses out the soap in his hair he couldn't help but mentally slap himself.

'She was so close' he thought, 'but I was too drunk to even realize it'

Once he finished washing himself, he turned off the water and stepped out, drying himself off and putting on the plain black joggers and black hoodie he had picked out. He needed to ask the other two if they noticed anyone who may have been looking around last night. Though he doubts it, the other two were just as drunk as him.

"Chan, Changbin!" he calls out, leaving the bathroom and walking into their shared living room.

"What's up?" Chan replies, standing in the kitchen and filling a glass with water.

Changbin looks up at him from the couch, "Yeah Lino?"

"Did either of you notice anyone at the club last night looking around like they were trying to find someone?" Minho asks, standing where he could see both of them.

The two look at each other over the counter and shrug, "Not really mate, we were all pretty drunk last night and there were a lot of people" Chan spoke, looking back at the younger.

"Yeah, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary either" Changbin replied, leaning forward toward him. "Why do you ask?"

"Because I just realized that my tattoo was burning while we were out last night, my soulmate had to be somewhere in that club and I was too drunk to realize it at the time" he sighed, sitting on a stool at the counter.

"Damn I'm so sorry man, I do remember you mentioning your wrist was hurting, I didn't realize you meant it like that" Changbin said as he walked over and patted his friend on the back.

"Yeah I remember that too" Chan sighed, "I don't know mate, maybe she lives in the area or something, I'm sure you'll cross paths again soon"

"I hope so, it's just driving me crazy that we were so close and didn't find each other because I was too drunk" Minho groans, placing his face in his hands as he leans his elbows onto the counter.

"Hey don't give yourself a hard time, for all you know maybe she was drunk too, you'll find each other one day, and that's all that matters" the eldest piped up.

Minho sighed. He knows Chan is right, but he can't help feeling frustrated. He feels like he let his soulmate down. If he wasn't so drunk he could've tried to find her. They could be together right now. But instead, they are still apart, having no idea who the other is. He got up from his seat and started walking towards the door.

"Let's just go and get these errands done"
