"So I see you guys talked..." Marco tries as we got back inside the pub. I sigh and look in his sad eyes. He really feels guilty.
"Thanks Marco. I'm glad you pushed me into talking with him. Honestly I never thought I would be glad to meet him and it's like totally obvious we're siblings." I joke and he laughs.
"We'll you can find me at the bar with my band mates, because I really need to get wasted now," he laughs, "The others are overthere." He points to the seats in the corner. I follow his finger with my eyes and catch Evan's gaze.
"Okay, see ya!"
"Iris, what's up with you and JD?" Alexa asks immediately when I join them. "Sorry for being so blunt, I was just wondering..."
"It's okay Alexa." I catch Evan's gaze again, curiousity playing in his eyes. "It's just some complicated matter-" Before I can further explain someone behind me interupts me.
"Hey sis. What are you talking about?" JD smiles.
"SIS?" Dean yells out. "I am totally so confused right now. Like COMPLETELY!"
"What's going on Iris?" Theodore asks.
"Jean is my brother. Seperated by my birth let's say. And I found that out earlier. I knew I had a brother but never met him." I shrug casually. It was never a big deal to me and never will be.
"HOW DO YOU SAY THIS SO CASUALLY." Dean shouts at me.
"Calm down Dean." Theodore hushes. "You can actually see how you guys look alike. And the same accent."
"Tes amis sont fous, ma petite soeur." Jean looks at me.
"Ils ne sont pas mes amis, je pense. Je le connaît d' aujour'dhui." I answer him, while the others watch us with puzzled faces. "Ils sont nice, mais je ne sais pas si ils sont mes amis. C'est comme ca."
"Ahn, comme ca hein. Je pensais que ca frère de votre amie était votre 'boyfriend' ." Jean answers and I look at him in disgust.
"Jean t'es fous. très fous." I answer and he just shrugs.
"La jealousy." is all he says before walking off.
"Okay now explain what that was pleaseeeee." Dean begs me.
"Sibling talk." I shrug.
The rest of the evening was fun and we just talked while pouring down a beer or five. I stopped when I got close to my limit and left to walk home. I say my goodbyes and leave the pub.
"You shouldn't walk alone." Someone behind me says when I walk into the cold breeze.
"I can handle myself Evan." I shrug when I turn around. "Make sure Alexa comes home safely. I think she will need it more than I do."
"Our oldest brother is almost here to come get her. I'll walk you home."
We walk the biggest part in silence, sometimes saying small things.
"You know we're normal people right?" He suddenly asks and I nod. "Why did you sit next to Alexa? Out of anyone? why her?" I shrug
"She looked nice and friendly."
"Most people befriended her to try to date me. When it didn't work out they ditched her too." He shrugs.
"Don't worry. Alexa is nice and I don't date anymore." I sigh. "Atleast not for now."
"Because of your ex?" He dares. I notice he is a bit at the drunk side.
"Yep. I mean, it sucks, but I'm happy that he is happy now with his new girlfriend. He deserves it. He deserves the whole world."
"You never look like you care. Sorry if that's rude. First with JD and now with your ex..." He suddenly bursts out.
"You don't seem to care either. About nothing, except Alexa. You want to protect her. But to answer your question: sometimes you learn not to." I look in his eyes and grieve is clouding his face. What happened to this cocky boy? He looks me straight in my eyes and I'm scared that he finds his missing pieces to my puzzle there. He is trying to read me just like I am trying to read him. He scans my face looking for some kind of trace, but I hide it. No one may know.
"You are a mistery, Felmont."
"We're here."
I say my goodbyes and go to my room.
No one may ever know...
