Cute little monster

A day at the zoo

Then he looked at the clock. "Oh no" he thought. It was 11:40. In twenty minutes he was supposed to meet with Sapnap.

His parents noticed that Karl's behaviour suddenly changed. "What is going on?" His father said. "You seem off". Karl quickly said "I have to be at the zoo in twenty minutes."
"What why?" His dad asked confused. " I am meeting a friend there!" . "I can drive you if you want to. It will be a lot faster then by foot."his mother said. Karl answered shyly: "If it doesn't bother you too much." His mother responded: "of course not darling" get ready and be by the car in five minutes." Karl rushed upstairs and quickly brushed his teeth as he put on his Hoodie and pants. He than hurried to the door and grabbed his jacket and quickly put on his shoes. His mother waved him from inside the car to come inside and so he did. He let himself fall on the backseat behind his mother and took a deep breath. It was surprisingly difficult to do all of that in time. His mother pulled out off the driveway and the whole drive they didn't talk. It was still some awkward distance between them. Finally they arrived at the zoo. "Thanks for driving me mom" Karl said smiling as he got out of the car. Before he could close the door his mom shouted "Wait Karl. You forgot something." Karl turned around and his mother handed him a soda can. Confused he asked "Why do I need that. I think they have vending machines in the zoo." His mother gestured with a wave of her hand to come closer and as Karl did she said "It's blood-replacement. You will need it." Karl nodded thinking about the other time he forgot it. "Never again" he thought to himself. Finally his mother drove off and he walked to the entrance. Right as he was about to get his ticket someone bumped into him. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there" a familiar voice said. Karl turned around and saw...
Sapnap. "I was a bit late and I was about to message you about it." He said smiling. He looked wonderful when he smiled Karl thought. He didn't mind the thought. It was the truth. Anyone would agree to that. At least if they looked at Sapnap like Karl did. "Let's go inside" Karl suggested. Sapnap nodded and they paid their tickets. "Where do you want to go?" Sapnap asked. "SLOTHS" Karl screamed. They where his favourite animals of all time. Always so relaxed and cute. " Good! They are right next to the pandas . They are my favourite Animal." Sapnap said and they stared walking. As they got there the argument what animal was nether still didn't stop. But they forgot it quickly as they realised that there was a baby sloth sleeping just a few meters from the glas panel away. They stayed there for quite some while because it was quite impossible to get Karl away from the cute animals. The only way was for Sapnap to promise to buy Karl a stuffed animal at the shop later. Finally they got to see the pandas and Karl hat to convince Sapnap not to climb over the fence to steal one. They also almost didn't make it to the shop in time because they where too busy petting a donkey in the petting zoo, which enjoyed their attention. But they just almost didn't make it because in the end of the day Karl walked with a giant sloth plushy out of the zoo, visibly proud of it. They hugged each other goodbye and Karl could have sworn he saw a light blush on Sapnaps cheeks. He thought he just imagined it tho. But somehow he hoped Sapnaps cheeks where blushing.
