Okay from where are we starting?” he robed his two palms together while taheera walked in the kitchen with different spices counter in her arm and hands
He spin around staring at her and smiling like a fool.
“What’s with you…why are you staring at me like that, don't eat me up please” she said chuckling
“I have been dreaming of a day like this to come where I will be with you all day long, wearing the same outfit, cooking and eating together, making fun of each other, going to the beach, singing in the car, wearing same jasie and footwear to watch football in Barcelona, going to so many places with you…I just can’t count all I want to do with you” he creased her cheek adorably and gently dragged her to stand in front of him while he stands at her back showing her what to put.
“So you want to do all these you have mentioned with me?” he nodded although he’s behind her but still she knows what he’s up to
“okay! Then let’s make a list of what you just mentioned and I will make mine then published it as a book and be doing them bit by bit whenever we get the chance”
“that seems to be a great idea you know” he rapped his hands around her
“I know right” she giggled
They rounded up so quickly because taheera has been whining that’s she’s starving. They made everything to the table and arranged them.
Before they make any move, jean and two of the workers pushed in the door, entering without even noticing the two love birds because all they think is that maybe Mrs farida opened the café since came back from kaduna last week nevertheless punctuality it’s her habit
“Jesus is Crist!” jean got startled seeing their boss in front of her and taheera wearing the same outfit with him collisionally he’s cooking for the second time and it’s obviously for her
“What are you doing here in this morning sir” she curiously asked despite knowing the answer
“what your eyes caught just now that even got you startled is exactly what I am doing” he carelessly responded
“Ah sir…someone came to see you yesterday after you left with your guests but unluckily we told him that you left and he gave us this to give you” the other Waiter called his attention and brought out an envelope from his bag
It was an invitation card and guess who’s getting married? Saleem!
It was saleem’s wedding invitation card and also a small piece of paper inside. He excused himself and went upstairs to his office and unfolded the paper.

I betrayed you and your trust, I destroyed our friendship due to my selfishness but believe me when I say I lamented what I did. There is this girl that I dated after I broke up with munnirah, she’s taheera sadiq the girl you’re seeing I guess. she would always say “never betray a trust, because a trust is a soulmate and a soulmate is a self-respect and a self-respect is a pure white milk and once it’s spilled I will never get back being pure again” and I realized our friendship is like that trust and today I have a favor to ask…will you be my best man? You don’t have to reply me if you still feel uncomfortable around me but still I won’t stop begging for your forgiveness.

“oh sorry I left you there alone…it’s an invitation card and also something that looks like an apology later” he shrugged carelessly
“learn to appreciate things”She hits him playfully at his back and snatched out the paper
“He would do better than this I know, he’s kind and thoughtful…consider his request okay!?”
“I want to but what if…” she chipped in
“there is nothing like if Nurain, everything happens for a reason and disdained all that happens he still invite you and send you an apology…that means he regretted all that betide and wants to clear a new path for his future. So please consider his request sweetheart! Hmm! Hmm!” she started making a kitten face all of a sudden and he instantly give in
“But wait…why did he have to mention you in the latter, isn’t he getting married then why intruding on with someone else’s wife”
“Oh I sort of smell jealousy here” he playfully glared at her and she smashed out laughing
“are we eating or not…I am starving” she whine modestly
“Fine hungry tigress” he shakes his head smiling at her childishness
They descended downstairs to their table where they started gisting about work, lifestyles and family.
And that's how their day ended, it ends with glee and hopes.
