"Where are we going?" She asked.

Jaina. They had decided to call her Jaina. That was what the ring had called her, anyway. And even if she couldn't remember, the Lantern rings were usually right.

Hal had the force-field bubble trailing behind him, Jaina still inside. Sure, her ring could make a force field around herself, but teaching her that would take too long. There would be plenty of time for Hal and John to teach Jaina when they got to where they were going.

"Hold on." John told Jaina, although the warning came a second too late. The three made the jump through time and space, making Jaina feel like she was being turned inside out. When the bubble stopped vibrating, she swallowed to keep from making a mess in her tiny sphere.

"Where are we?" She asked, trying to keep what little she had in her stomach from spewing out everywhere.

"Sorry about the jumps, You're gonna have to get used to them." The green guy called Hal apologized.

"Where are we?" Jaina asked again, with more emphasis and confidence as her nausea wore off.

The darker-skinned man, John, gestured behind himself to the yellow-ish planet with a green aura. Tinier specks of green floated to and from the orb, and Jaina realized that they were people, humans and aliens and all sorts of awe-inspiring sentient beings, dressed similarly to the way Hal and John were.

"Jaina...Solo," Hal said slowly, trying to remember the name that the ring had called the girl.

"Welcome to Oa."

Jaina took in a sharp breath as her companions took off again, jerking her bubble behind them. She'd grown tired of standing a while back, and had instead switched to sitting, but as the trio approached the planet, Jaina stood up again, alert and awake, taking in every detail.

Hal saw her amazement, and grinned at John, who nodded. They made a gradual right turn, silently agreeing to take Jaina the long way.

Jaina instantly loved Oa.

It was the only place she could ever remember being, aside from Earth's moon and the darkness of space, but she was staunchly certain that no place would ever be able to compare with Oa.

A few friends of John and Hal waved to them as they passed. They waved to Jaina, and she waved back as well.

"Woah," Jaina gasped as they passed by the city section of the planet, studying the architecture of the emerald-green skyscrapers as they floated by.

She waved to a few Lanterns on construction duty, watching as they each used an intricate green tool to screw the panels into place on the side of a building. She stopped suddenly, realizing that the tools were attached to the rings on their fists, and disappeared back into the rings when they were done. Jaina looked at her ring. Could she do that? She looked at Hal and and John, watching the green glow that surrounded them, just as it had the planet and all the other flying people here. She watched the trail from her translucent bubble connected to Hal's ring. what else could the rings do?

Then they flew past the open hangar doors.

Jaina took in a sharp breath, admiring each of the ships. There weren't very many, as Lanterns flew through space powered by their own rings instead of relying on spaceships, but they had a fairly sizable fleet for extended journeys and lesser-experienced Lanterns, and Jaina loved them all.

She could almost feel the sleek hull of one of the silver ships running beneath her fingertips as she passed by, her eyes catching sight of another ship that had wings that folded up in a triangle shape when it landed. There was another with hexagonal panels on each side, a circular cockpit in the middle. Jaina wanted to see them all at a closer distance, but after slowing down for a minute or so, Hal and John moved on.

Hal caught her interest and made a mental note as to bring her back to the hangar after they finished their meeting with the Guardians of the Universe.

The green trio approached the finest and largest building in the very center of Oa's vast city. The base was square-shaped, with indented curves along the four walls, and a large, circular tower protruded from the base.

At the top of the tower was a room walled completely in windows. Inside, Jaina could faintly make out a cluster of floating, blue-headed men clothed in red and white.

"Whats up there?" Jaina asked as Hal and Guy flew towards the room.

"The Guardians of the Universe." John said.

-------

"We cannot tell."

Hal was taken aback at the announcement.

"I...I don't understand. You guys are a bunch of all-seeing and all-powerful beings, right? How come you "cannot tell"!?"

"All seeing, yes." Ganthet, one of the blue-skinned, big-headed Guardians with stewardship of the Green Lanterns, floated over to Hal and John, who stood in the center of the council room with Jaina standing in between them.

"All powerful, no." Ganthet stopped in front of Jaina, who had been released from her force-field bubble, and studied her carefully.

"Something with more power than ours is blocking her from us."

"What do you mean?" John asked worriedly. People with more power than the Guardians tended to be on the more villainous side of the scale.

"We cannot sense the girl as we sense the two of you. We can see all three of you, but we cannot sense Jaina Solo, here." Ganthet explained, as if to a small child.

He waved his hand and floated back to his spot in the almost-circle of Guardians. "The rings do not choose just anyone, nor do they make mistakes or have the ability to be manipulated. It might be that it is a natural ability of Jaina Solo, instinctively protecting her after her crash. Until we discover what it is, however, it might be best to train her."

"Are you saying we should take her back to Earth?" Hal asked. He liked Jaina, sure, but he wasn't sure if he liked the idea of taking a powerful, potentially dangerous and untrained girl to his homeplanet.

"You know, I'd prefer it if you didn't talk about me like I wasn't here." Jaina elbowed Hal in the gut. Hard. The older Lantern bent over, trying to catch his breath.

Potentially dangerous, potentially unstable, and strong. Not a good combination, in John's opinion.

"Precisely, Hal Jordan. Jaina Solo, you have orders to begin training as soon as possible and to report to Sector 2814 along with Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner. The three of you are dismissed." The Head Guardian commanded.

And just like that, Hal, John, and Jaina found themselves floating outside the Guardian's tower.

Guys, to be honest, I'm just making up Oa for the story. Yes, the ships in the hangar were supposed to resemble ships from the original six episodes. And yes, the Guardian's tower is supposed to look like the Jedi Temple, only in green.
