Remus was on his break,
walking through Hogsmeade.
He entered a library,
a new book couldn't hurt, right?

He walked around, looking over the many shelves and rows of books. What a collection!

After some searching, he finds a book that catches his interest and he picks it up, taking it back to a table over in a quiet corner of the library.

He begins flipping through the pages of the book, reading about the various creatures of the Dark Forest. He is so engrossed that he begins to read faster, forgetting about the passage of time as he sinks himself into the fascinating words on the pages. After a few hours of reading and browsing, it is suddenly getting dark outside and the library is closing.

He leaves the library,
in the mood for a butterbeer.

He makes his way down to The Three Broomsticks, walking past all the shops and street vendors, taking in the smells of food, sweets, and perfume as he does so. As he walks through the doors of the busy pub, he finds himself a spot in the corner, as far from any loud crowds and busy tables as he can, ordering the bartender to bring him a butterbeer. He sits there, taking in the new surroundings, sipping his cold, golden drink, the taste of sweet cream and caramel filling his mouth with every swig.

After some time, a h/c haired woman with e/c eyes walked into the pub, she had visible scars on the right side of her cheek and neck. She sat down onto a stool, ordering what seemed to be a Firewhiskey.

Her wounds were the first thing he noticed about her along with her choice of drink, which was more in the realm of a very strong liquor. After a few moments of consideration, he decided to approach her.

If she was willing to drink such a strong drink in a pub as busy as The Three Broomsticks, it meant she was either trying to escape something, or that she didn't care what people thought of her. And both of those options were things that Remus could relate to.

After a few moments of silence, Remus took a small sip of his butterbeer, before he spoke.

"The Three Broomsticks is a rather busy place to be enjoying something as strong as firewhiskey, is it not?"

She was a bit startled since she didn't notice Remus sitting down next to her. She moved to look at him, her eyes scanning over his strong features and visible scars.

"Never too busy to treat myself to something stronger. I actually quite enjoy the busy atmosphere, gets my mind off of things."

She gave him a weak smile and took another sip from her Firewhiskey.

Remus was looking intently at the woman, seemingly deep in thought.

This woman was fascinating!
She seemed like she didn't hold back, her words confident and sharp.
Though that could be the firewhiskey.
He noted.

The strong alcohol no doubt giving her the courage to confront a stranger like this.

Despite her scars, she was also clearly attractive, her features sharp and alluring, her eyes a deep, vivid e/c. Remus felt himself attracted to her, but also curious, trying to understand what sort of person would drink firewhiskey by herself in a busy pub.

she noticed his gaze lingering on her for a while.

"Like what you see?"

She giggled, she certainly didn't mind the attention and the Firewhiskey was indeed having her act a bit more confident than usual.

She was flirting with him!
Or maybe just teasing him...
Either way, his cheeks began to heat up as he realized he's been staring.
He clears his throat, still unable to think straight. Then, in a moment of impulse - and in hopes to distract from his reddening skin - he blurts out a question that has been in the back of his mind since the moment he laid eyes on her.
