"Polnareff!" Noriaki cried. He knew nothing could help at this point, with how bull-headed Polnareff could be, but he had to try. "Polnareff, don't fall for his tricks! He wants you to attack!"

Polnareff seemed not to hear his cries, immediately smashing the window in front of him to bits with his rapier. The shards tinkled to the ground, and Polnareff glanced around, panting, his face red with anger.

"Your Chariot cannot cut my Hanged Man," the familiar voice piped up again. As Polnareff saw his reflection in a single shard, the stand of J. Geil, The Hanged Man, stood behind him, his voice flooded with glee. "I am in the mirror, where your stand cannot go. That's why you can't cut me! So close, and yet so far away!"

The Hanged Man glanced back at the two young kids beside the body of their friend. He caught sight of the beautiful young girl, and immediately he spoke.

"Oi, Hol Horse," he said, not taking his eyes off of the girl. "Fire away. Let's put an end to this idiot, but leave the girl to me." He laughed with glee. "Oh, what a wonderful addition to my collection!"

Hol Horse hesitated for a moment, but summoned his stand anyhow.

"Aye aye, sir."

You felt bile rise in your throat, and you stumbled back. You wanted to cover your body, wanted to cry. You had never been this... violated in your entire life. Anger bubbled in your chest, and you wanted so badly to beat this stand user into a bloody pulp.

"You do not touch her!" Noriaki snarled, stepping in front of you. He turned slightly over his shoulder and whispered to you. "I need you to act distraught. I know it's not quite your style, but I need you to get to the pick-up without being in danger. Start it up as quietly as possible. Maybe because of the situation they won't notice, but we need to try."

You felt as if you should protest, but Noriaki already looked pissed enough, so you played along. You urged the past tears back up and out onto your face. You let out soft whimpers and sobs and kept backing away.

"Get back to the hotel, Y/n!" Noriaki announced. "Go!"

You turned and dashed in the direction of the truck. You glanced warily over your shoulder to see that neither of the opponents were paying as much attention to you as you thought they would. You threw yourself into the vehicle as quick and quiet as humanly possible and began the search for keys.

"Y/n? Is that her name?" J. Geil mused, looking Polnareff in the eyes. "Such a lovely name for a lovely girl."

"Shut up, asshole!" Polnareff yelled.

A shot rang out in the air, temporarily deafening. Being in the car had lessened the noise, but still, a ringing bounced around in your eardrums. You winced, but you quickly checked the console on the passenger side for any keys at all. Nothing.

You thought you heard a faint "Emerald Splash" as you pulled down the sun shade above your head, and a single key on a keyring fell into your lap. You hastily shoved it into the ignition and stamped down on the clutch and brake. Turning the key, you slowly let off the clutch. You were always bad at starting the cars, but once they were on you were fine. You smirked when the sputter of the engine turned to a roar, and everything flared to life. The gauges in the dash moved, and the radio filled the pick-up with a language you didn't understand.

The passenger door was thrown open suddenly, and you summoned your Angel, ready to defend. Noriaki flinched for a moment before clambering into the truck, leaving the door open. You gripped the wheel, almost as if you knew what he needed you to do, and you stepped on the gas, throwing the grinding vehicle into first, second, and then third. In the windshield, you saw Polnareff laying on the ground, and you swerved towards him. Nori reached out the side of the truck to grasp his arm. Polnareff frantically grabbed a hold of his hand as you shifted to fourth gear.
