Just ahead of you, at a fork in the road, was where that musty car idled.

"Yep," You muttered. "That proves it."

"Bastard!" Polnareff rammed his foot on the gas, lurching the Jeep forward. Noriaki quickly threw his arm behind you so you would hit him instead of your injury.

The red car jerked to the left, taking the road that the crooked sign said was to Pakistan. Polnareff hastily followed, pressing the gas down as far as it would go. Both vehicles jumped each time they hit a rock and came off the ground at every curve, but Polnareff couldn't gain any ground.

"Damn it!" He cried, yanking the wheel to the left. "For a piece of junk, that car can really get up and go!"

"This isn't right," Noriaki said as he glanced out the side window. "If I remember correctly, the map says we should be running parallel with train tracks here."

"Who the hell cares?" Polnareff sneered. "We'll catch up soon anyway." He gestured up ahead to a curve on the narrow cliff-side road. "I'm gonna nail him once we round this curve!"

He smirked as he whipped the steering wheel to the left once more. Whatever Polnareff would do to the man once he had him, he had coming. That was, if he hadn't disappeared.

Polnareff's eyes grew wide as he turned the corner, revealing a large, empty space at the end of the road; at the start of a cliff.

"A dead end!" Polnareff exclaimed. "That's impossible!"

He slammed on the brakes and hastily turned the wheel, willing the vehicle to stop before it toppled over the sheer drop. It skidded to the edge, then halted abrubtly less than a foot from the drop. The stop jostled everyone, and you ended up being crushed between the two boys in the backseat. You squirmed and pushed against Jotaro, trying to force him over.

"Stop, dammit," Jojo grunted as he pulled himself back into his seat. "I'm moving."

"Where the hell did he go?" Joseph asked. He whipped his head around, searching. "He's gone!"

"It's like he just disappeared!" Polnareff cried.

"There's no way he crossed the suspension bridge," Noriaki said, eyes wide and scanning the area.

Before any ideas were formed, something rammed the Jeep from behind, jolting all of you.

"What!?" Joseph cried out as the group looked back to see the formerly vanished car reverse, only to come forward again and rear-end your vehicle once more. "It's him! He's trying to push us over the edge!"

"How did he get behind us?" Noriaki's voice was panicky and loud.

Polnareff scowled as he shifted into reverse and forced against the other car. Even in 4-wheel drive, the red car still pushed the Jeep forward, closer to the edge of the cliff.

"How much horsepower is that piece of junk running with?" Polnareff yelped. "It's like a tank!"

He tried to press harder on the pedal, but it was already on the floor. They were gonna have to get out of the car or go over the drop.

"It's no use!" Polnareff announced as he fumbled with his seat belt buckle. "Everyone, get out of the car!"

"Polnareff!" Noriaki scolded. "You can't get out until the rest of us are clear first! Who'll hold down the brake?"

"Huh?" Polnareff squeaked. You cried out when you felt the front tires slip off the edge. He faced Noriaki with a terrified look on his face. "S-Sorry!"
