Chapter thirty-six

"So you both knew where I've been this whole month and did nothing to come get me?" I asked the two people I consider my best friends. Who sat in front of me, on my bed with looks of guilt on their faces.

Tiffany was the first to speak up. "We couldn't do anything about it, Lysha. We tried but-"

"-but didn't care enough to try hard enough." I interrupted her. Watching her shoulders tense. "You probably didn't even care until now, did you? You were both enjoying your life's whiles min was being controlled by a man who has some shady fucking business going on."

"Calm down, Isha!" Titi snapped, making eye contact with me. "I warned you about him but you never listened! I told you not to get involved but you went behind my back and did it anyway!" Her face shows just how disappointed she is of me.

She was right. She told me countless of times to stay away but I was too blinded by my fucking feelings to listen. Titi tried calling me out on this but I was just so stubborn. "We did try, Isha. I tried getting Louis to talk him out. Louis tried but all he got was a threat on his life."

"What do you mean?" My brows furrowed.

She sighed, rubbing her eyes. "Louis asked signore Alejandro to let you go and that this wasn't a way to make someone fall for you. Obviously Signore Alejandro got angry, livid  and pointed a gun at him." My eyes went wide in shock.

"Said if we came with any 'fucking' complain about you, he'll put a bullet in between his eyes."

"He wouldn't do that." The words flew out of my mouth before I could help it. Shocking me because why would I defend Alejandro. He's the bad guy in all of this, but why did I feel as though he wasn't.

It's the sex...

"Maybe he wouldn't, but we couldn't risk it. That's why we stopped trying." Titi stood up and came to stand in front of me, she grabs my hand and looks me straight in the eyes. "At least we are together now. Let's make the most out of it, please?"

"I understand, and I'm sorry."

She smiles, pulling me in for a hug. Tiffany immediately rushed over and embraced us as well. Giggling like stupid high schoolers. Truly I've missed them, it's not even a joke. I pulled away and looked at this two beautiful women. "I missed you guys, so damn much."

A knock came from the door and we all looked to see Ryan standing there. He smiled at us all, his eyes lingering on Tiffany for a while before he looked back at me. "Signorina, Capo Alejandro is ready to speak with you in his office." My face brightens up at this, and heart warmed.

Ryan left right after I told him I'll be on my way before turning to the girls. "So, you've got the surprise ready?" Tiffany asked me, raising a brow. "Is it rapped?"

"Yes it is, rapped and ready. I'll get going." Today is Alejandro's birthday, and I haven't gifted him his gift yet. Thanks to my best friend's, they got me something to give him today. I've wished him a happy birthday already after our intense fucking in the morning, now it's time for the surprise.

"Okay, go go go!" Titi and Tiffany urged me on, pushing me out the door. I rolled my eyes but walked out. Walking straight up the stairs and to his office. A man sat on the chair right in front of him, and as I got in he was standing up. Alejandro and I made eye contact as he shook hands with the blond guy.

"È un onore fare affari con te. Spero di vederti di nuovo." The blond guy said to Alejandro who nods once at what was said.

As the guy turned, he nodded at him politely in greeting before walking out and leaving us alone. Alejandro took his seat once again, gesturing with his fingers for me to come to him. I clenched the small box in my hand and walked to stand in front of him.
