(P.S, the beginning is horrible, I mean horrible, but if you'd like to read it I won't stop you!)
Introduction:
I ate alone, I played around with random stuff around the house. Screams came from the street, "Just teens, like me." I thought to myself, until I opened the door and saw utter chaos, a 6 – 7ft monster with fangs, looks very much like a human except one defining feature, something that looks like a birthmark on their forehead which is a shade of a light black, stood in front of me menacingly. My family luckily was not home and went on vacation, the monster leaned against my open door and leaned towards me as his dark blonde hair blew in the wind, "Heya, kiddo. How about you give me some of your blood... it is incredibly special to me." He slowly scratched his neck, causing it to bleed. The more he itched the deeper his wound got, until his spine was showing. "G- Go away, you fool. This is not a funny prank!" I exclaimed, "ohohoh... you think this is a prank, little boy?" he laughed in my face, he slowly opened his mouth and his fangs shined in the moonlight as blood dripped from them. He was about to dig his fangs into my neck until a good friend of mine, Chikara Hishiga saved me, "Watch your back, Sengoku!" she stabbed the brain out of the monster in front of me, she used a katana to do it. "Ooooh... nice attack there, FOOL!" the monster exclaimed, turned back, and dug his fingernails into Chikara, "Oh, no you don't!" I said while running, I gripped the axe my father, a forester, used. Chikara was about to get devoured by that monster, I leaped forward and just about reached his neck, and his head came clean off into a house about to blow into flames, his head instantly got exploded by the explosion of a gas tank. I got Chikara some bandages and we found a good friend of ours, Cleo Asakti. We walked down the alleyway and saw her house ablaze; we leaped in and did our best to put the fire out, luckily Cleo was alive, we walked across all the dead bodies, we were the soul survivors of this mass killing.
Chapter 1: Downtown Corruption
We walked down the neighbourhood, in flames, terror. Cleo kept complaining about how much her feet hurt, "You shouldn't have worn high heels, dumbo." Chikara and I teased her, "Well, I was going out, ok! Not my fault." she struck back at us, "Well if you say so, shortie" I and Chikara snickered. "Shut up, otherwise I'm leaving this group!" she once again shouted back, "CLEO DON'T YOU'LL DIE OUT THERE" Chikara screamed at her, Cleo slowly strutted back to us. After a few hours of walking, we evaluated our amount of water, snacks, spare clothing etc. We were, well, quite low on most of them. "Look ok, where the hell are we going Sengoku." Chikara said while crossing her arms, "Just around the corner, to the forest we all used to play in when we were about 6! Do you remember it?" I said quietly, then I whispered "Act normal, I have a suspicion that we are being followed. Therefore, stop every now and again and pretend we are catching a breath. This would be particularly good in the forest, as the leaf's crunch behind us, but we do not exactly know what the enemy's weakness is. Whether it is the sun, a special kind of material, or a simple slash through the brain or head." Both girls nodded, "WAIT I'M THE ONLY DAMN BOY HERE," I screamed, "PFFFTT SENGOKU-" they both giggled at me, "SHUT THE-" I cut myself off, tip, tip, tip. Right behind us, and as soon as I could say turn, a chunk of my leg got bitten off. I fell over at once and broke some of my back, I was stuck on the floor. "It's dusk, that means they can only come out at night..." I remarked and reached onto my side to see if I had any weapons. "Wait, I swear to god I had an axe and something else." I looked over, the man who was following us, with a chunk of my leg in his mouth simply laughed. "You children are so noisy! Seriously. If you were just quieter, I never could have caught to you!" With the rest of my strength, I got some crayons and paper out of my bag, and drew a simple chart to understand these monsters, "Light grey / black birthmark on their forehead or anywhere else = a monster. Check for fangs, and their height. For some odd reason they are abnormally tall." I wrote, slowly but surely. "Here, guys take this to understand how these things work!" "I cannot even tell what this is," Cleo said, highly confused. "JUST TRY TO UNDERSTA-" I coughed up some blood and blacked out.
