To Buck..

TW for mum; H is mentioned as 'father' but not by name and his death and fusion as well as it's context is given

Some context for the situation: We have a Fictive of Evan Buckley from 9-1-1 in system. He brought my father to the hospital after he injured himself. My father fused some time after that.

I met Buck properly for the first time since I split today. He locked pinkies with me and made me look him in the eye. He whispered to me that he was sorry and pulled away before going about his way down the hall.

I was confused as to what it meant, but then I found a tiktok of him and his sister Maddie, locking pinkies in multiple scenes of his source. It's an 'I love you' sort of thing.

I hope he knows that I don't hold it against him. He did all that he could and even then, it means the world to me. Little me got to see him before fusion and while I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not, it was still something to hold on to and I at least find that comforting.

So I want to thank him and let him know that it wasn't his fault. My father didn't want to be saved.

If you read this (and I hope you do), I want you to know that it wasn't your fault. You did all you could and that gesture alone means a lot to me. You are not any less because you can't save someone. Some people are too far gone and there's nothing you can do about that. You are so important and help so many people inner with the work that you do.
