"Okay listen up!" screamed the head of jobs in Quadtron, "My job is simple. I call you one by one to see 'M', who will put you in each world for 4 minutes and your decisions will effect the job you are given. CLEAR!?"

"CLEAR!" A chorus of voices shouted back.

"Ali of group Horns?"

This was it, the day my future was fully set in stone, the day my life changes. Beads of sweat begin forming on my head as my nerves creep in. I felt sorry for the people who went first as they had little to none knowledge of what was going to happen. We were taught what to do in each simulation and told to practice and develop what we learnt, but none of us truly knew what would happen.

It was only a couple of seconds before Ali came out of the room, except not by herself. It had seemed that Ali had failed the simulation as one of the guards entered the room and excited, with Ali limp in his arms. Everyone gained a look of fear on their faces as she was slowly carried past. It was is time itself had slowed down and gave us each more time to slowly study the poor girl in complete detail, fueling our anxiety towards the simulation.

"Titos of group Kent." the next name had been called out yet nobody stood. The name was shouted again, this time with more force, "Titos of group Kent please step up." Slowly, from the opposite side of the room,  a skinny short boy rose, quaking with fear and bumbled his way to the door.

It was only moments later when yet again a guard walked into the room. Has he fainted? I thought to myself. But the truth as far worse. The guard walked out with the boy in his arms, only this time he was covered in strange, what I presumed, chemical burns and his eyes had glazed over. He was dead. It must have been an allergic reaction. A girl in the corner starting crying as well as a couple others.

This had turned from not only being the most important day of my life, but also the most terrifying day of my life.

...........................................................................................................

72 EARTH MINUTES LATER.

36 UTRON MINUTES LATER.

"Sylvester of group Rose, you're up."

I stood up, a little shaken from watching everyone coming out of the room a bright pink colour, looking like they were about to throw up. It was finally my turn and I was sure I had 3 minor heart attacks in the space of waiting. I stood up, bobbing slightly, and luckily made it into the room without collapsing.

As I enter, I notice the room had no colour, just white, apart from the large object that stood in front of me that looked like a plane without wings. The object was silver and reflective, in which I could clearly see myself, long, a bright blue plait over my shoulder to my waist and disgusting brown and charred skin, not complementing my mismatched orange and blue eyes.

Great a reminder that I am absolutely hideous before I complete the most important thing in my life. Just what I needed.

A man with white hair, to match the room, moved in front of my reflection. He looked very young yet he had age in his eyes. I wonder how long he's been doing this.

"Sylvester, please stay calm, I am about to inject you with a serum that will allow you to see the simulation." He said, in a tone that showed no emotion and pulled out a syringe. He pressed it into my neck, only a pinch of pain, and then pushed me into my reflection. As I was pushed into the object, it enclosed me within the reflective surface, the image of me wrapping around and digesting me, until all I could see was silver.
