Angel was jolted awake by the sound of pounding at his door. It was eight in the fucking morning on a Sunday, who could that be? No, he knew exactly who it had to be, he just didn't want to get up. He groaned as the pounding did not stop before he flopped out of bed like a slug. The apartment was so cold outside of his blankets.

Angel opened the door to his apartment, exhaustion written across his face. "What the fuck do you two idiots want?"

"Haha! Tis I, the great Power! I have come to grace you with my beauty and strength!" Power exclaimed.

"It snowed a bunch last night!" Denji exclaimed. "We wanted to have a teamed snowball fight, but Aki said he wouldn't join unless he had another person on his team! So we figured that you would join!"

"I won't join," Angel replied dully.

"Thou art afraid of Denji and I?!" Power gasped, pointing at Angel.

"That's not what I said," Angel replied.

Angel heard an apartment door shut, as well as footsteps coming over to them. "You two, I told you to ask him later! Not while I was getting changed."

Angel did not generally care for his modesty, but he did realize that he was in a tank top and booty shorts when Aki spoke while he was coming over to them. While Denji and Power were unaffected, Aki's eyes widened a little bit, raking up and down his body. The twins were complaining to Aki about how they wanted to play as soon as possible, but Angel wasn't exactly listening. He was watching the subtle changes in Aki's expression as he looked over Angel's body. This was the first time Aki would have seen more of his body than just his hands or forearms.

Aki tore his gaze away from Angel's slim, pale legs to look at Denji and Power before he cut them off. "You two, back to our apartment. We'll ask him again in a couple of hours, okay? Angel obviously just woke up. Now go."

While the two teens complained, they did begin to walk back to their apartment. Angel bowed his head and muttered a quick "thanks," before attempting to close the door. However, Aki put his foot in the way, startling Angel. He looked up to meet those sharp, intense blue eyes. He felt like he might melt under his gaze.

"Wh- what is it?" Angel asked softly.

"I just... sorry. I wanted to ask you myself, but they get so excited," he murmured.

"It's fine. I don't mind them too much," Angel said. That was a partial lie. He minded them quite a bit, even if he did simultaneously find them humorous. He just mostly hated when they woke him up. "Is that all?"

"I mean... just because I'm wondering, would you be interested in joining us in a snowball fight?" Aki asked quietly.

Angel had to think about that. He didn't want to go outside in the cold if he couldn't help it, but Aki was asking him, and Angel... well, Angel had trouble with saying no to Aki. The man was too damn handsome and sweet, it wasn't fair. Angel looked at Aki, but he wasn't looking at Angel's face. His eyes were down further, possibly looking at his legs. There was no way that Aki would be attracted to him like that, would he? It was impossible.

"I'll join if I'm on your team," Angel found himself saying.

Aki's eyes flickered back up to Angel's, a little smile on his face. "Oh, good. I'm glad. How long do you need?"

"Two hours," Angel replied.

"Got it." Aki finally removed his foot from the doorway. "Come knock on our door when you're ready."

"I will," Angel said. "See you in a bit."

"See you," Aki replied, stepping back from the door.

Angel closed the door, carefully locking it. He leaned his forehead up against the door, taking a few deep breaths. He didn't want to join in the snowball fight, but he wanted to be beside Aki any chance he got. It was pathetic, wanting a straight man this much, but what could Angel do? He was simply unlucky in life.
