Oh, I wanna dance with somebody~
That wasn't your alarm. That was your loud new neighbor singing at three in the morning. You rolled over to turn on your phone — 3:27 am — and sighed. You went to bed two hours ago, and needed to get up for your job in three more.
You may be thinking, Y/N, that is not a sufficient amount of sleep. Really? Five hours? But listen.
You were busy.
Busy doing what, someone might ask?
...Your mom.

"Why do you not have any rhythm?" You asked. Alice, who was on the other side of the video call sighed heavily.
"I don't know what you want from me. Some of us got it, some of us don't. How do you get rhythm?"
"Rhythm games." You paused letting that sink in. Then you gasped. "Alice, I just got the most fantastic idea of all ideas ever."

You were not busy doing "Your mom."
You were actually busy trying to teach this funky-haired drummer how to drum.
After coming to an amazing conclusion on how you could help Alice find some sort of rhythm, you went to bed.
You could not believe you spent five hours on a call with him before coming to that conclusion.
Normally you'd be asleep by ten.
...Why did you do that?
Obviously, it didn't matter, because now you had the most fantastic idea of all ideas ever!
But that idea came at the expense of your sleeping time.
And now fuckin' Whitney Houston was next door singing at three in the morning.
You got up from your bed, leaving your bedroom, the living room, and entering the hallway between every apartment.
With somebody who loves me~
You knocked on the door. The music continued to play but one of the voices went silent. After a moment, the music stopped, and you heard footsteps come towards the door.
"Y/N!" Nao squealed in surprise. "I'm surprised to see you awake so late at night!"
"Nao." You said, voice monotone. "Yeah, I'm surprised to see myself awake so late at night. Especially when I still have three hours until I have to get up."
"Oh... Oh, I'm sorry. Am I being too loud?"
"A little. I just wouldn't suggest loudly singing at three in the morning anymore. Or during the night at all. You're lucky it was me who came to complain. If it was Q-Taro or Ms. Ibushi, I'm not sure they would've been so kind as just to leave you off with a warning."
"This feels a bit more like a threat than a warning."
"Take it as you will," You said, deadpan. "I have better things to do than threaten my new neighbor who just graduated high school. Mr. Burgerberg and Gin's parents might not. Q-Tip has to wake up to fly out to America soon, and Gin has school in the morning. I know you do, too. You should just go to bed."
Nao stared at you for a moment before looking to stare at the ground. "You're right... Sorry! I'll try to be as quiet as possible from now on!"
You nodded your head, "Okay. Don't worry Anzu. I'm not upset with you. Just... go to bed."

"You're looking hot," Shin commented when you entered the store.
"Yeah? I feel hot." You said sarcastically. You walked to the back room of the 7-Eleven you worked at, and Shin followed you.
