Ch.1: Chunin exams

                     

~Sakura's POV~

"Sakura, don't stay up for too long. You have an important day tomorrow!" my mom called out to me from the kitchen. "I know,mom" does she really think that I'm still a kid that doesn't know what's good for her?

I don't know if I should feel nervous or excited for tomorrow, our chunin exams. I'm not sure that I have what it takes to be a chunin, but I won't know until I try.

~~the next day~~

When Kakashi sensei told me that if I hadn't come then Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't have been able to take the chunin exams, I felt much better about myself and about my gut feeling.

We enter the room and the first thing we see is too many Shinobi from different villages. "you guys are here too?" shikamaru says from behind us. "didn't know you'd be here, billboard brow !" ino says. "I don't have time to argue with you, ino pig " I say calmly. she becomes very shocked ,so does Naruto.

" well well. Look who matured, you should be more like Sakura, ino" shikamaru said, ino charged at him and started shouting.

"what an idiot" kiba says . " WHAT DID YOU SAY?! YOU TAKE THAT BACK" " what a drag"

Someone clears their throat and all the noise stops. " You guys are not giving a very good first impression" "And who are you?!" Naruto shouts in his face. "I'm Kabuto"

~~time skip ~~

I sit in my seat ready to ace the written exam, I take a look at the first question and it looks very complicated but not for me. It's true that I studied a lot to impress Sasuke, but now I realize that this is more important than Sasuke.

After I solve all of the questions, I look at my teammates and Sasuke looks like he's doing fine unlike Naruto. oh Naruto I wish I could help you.

~third person pov~

Sakura stands up and raises her hand. Sasuke and Naruto think that she's gonna give up. " I finished the exam" Sakura says, shocking everyone including ibiki . ' that's not possible. The disguised chunin haven't even finished' he thought.

" Uhm , stay in your place I'll take your exam paper." ibiki takes Sakura's exam paper and checks the answers . ' no way. she got all of them right. could she have a future seeing kekkei genkai ? But she's from a civilian clan ' he thought.

"I think it's time for the last question"

~sakura's pov~

I have to protect Naruto and Sasuke, they protected me and now I owe them. I attack the freaky hand guy and stab the hole in his right hand. Then I feel Sasuke rise up with a purple aura surrounding him, and black stripes on his body. that's definitely from the cursed mark that snake put on him.

"Sakura, who did this to you?" Sasuke says. The freaky hand guy couldn't say a word, he was trying to get the kunai out of his hand but it hurt even more when he did. "No Sasuke! please.. I'm fine " I say. "I said WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!" Sasuke yells at my face.

Tears roll down my cheeks and I go hug him as tight as I can. I then kiss his forehead. He drops down on the ground grasping neck where the mark is. I can see that he's in pain but the stripes on his body start disappearing.

The other freaky guy says to his teammates that they have to leave, they argue a bit but eventually they leave. Ino and her team come to help us and Naruto finally wakes up, he points out the length of my hair, I can see that Sasuke now noticed how short it got. This made me feel something, I'm not sure what it is. I felt sad that Sasuke doesn't pay attention to me at all, actually me and my hair are probably his last concern, meanwhile Naruto noticed the change pretty quickly and to think about it, Naruto is probably the only one that pays attention to me and doesn't act like I don't exist.
