~Third person pov~

The preliminary rounds finished with all of team 7 going through. After Lord Hokage told them how the last fight is gonna be like and it's pretty much a tournament. Then, everyone picked a number that decided who they're going to be fighting. These are the fights (I made them so they might not be like the series):

1: Naruto Vs Neji

2: Sasuke Vs Gaara

3: Shino Vs Kankuro

4: Temari Vs Shikamaru

5: Sakura Vs the sound ninja (idk his name)

Team 7 was nervous, all of their opponents are stronger than them. But that won't stop them! They will train hard this month, harder than they ever did.

~Sakura's pov~

I have one month to train, and I'm going up against that sound ninja. At least I know his abilities, but will I be able to defeat him.

Inner Sakura: of course we can beat his ass!

I'm still tired from the chunin exams so all I'm gonna do today is rest and my training will start tomorrow.

I wish my teammates good luck and walk back home. I stop at a bridge looking at my reflection in the water below, I'm still not used to my hair this short but it doesn't look bad. I stay there for a long time and when I realize that it's getting dark, I head home.

As I enter the house, I hear my mom's voice calling " Sakura is that you?" I yell out " yeah it's me" . I take off my shoes and head to the kitchen, mom is washing the dishes and dad is reading a newspaper. When he sees me he gasps and that makes my mom turn around. She comes and hugs me quickly "Sakura what happened?" Dad asks. "oh my hair! yeah it was during the chunin exams" My mom lets go of me and looks at me with a very serious look. "listen, Sakura. you know we are civilians and we will never be strong Shinobi. if you ever become chunin, just remember that that's the highest rank you'll get." she said. That got me angry " That's not true! I'll work very hard and become one of the greatest Shinobi. I'll be an S-rank ninja too!" I yelled out. Dad stands up "Sakura, that's not what your mom meant . We just don't want you to get hurt" " You should've thought of that before you put me in the ninja academy." I said and then I stormed off to my room.

Inner: don't think of it that much. I say it's great motivation to start training harder. Lets prove those elders wrong, CHA!
