Enemy to Friends

Sonic was holding Starfire's hand helping her to walk, the hoglet was struggling since she was use to crawling. "T-There y-you go Star" Sonic praises the hoglet.

Starfire's tail started wagging as she was starting to get the hang of this walking, when Sonic let go of her hands she started waddling forward, it wasn't walking but it was close to it. Scourge catches Starfire before she fell onto the floor, "Look at you, Starfire, your growing up to be just your Bubba" the emerald hedgehog tells the hoglet who only tilted her head in confusion, but she was happy anyways.

It was already about time that she learned how to walk, since she was one years old, but Sonic and Scourge had been busy with Shaundre and Raven that they really hadn't taken the time.

Shaundre was sitting on the kitchen bar stool as he watched, he clapped for his little sister, when she waddled on her own. Raven on the hand was confused as to why this moment was so important.

Sonic softly smiled to himself as he had the moment recorded on his phone, it was only far since he did the same with Shaundre when he took his first steps, he puts his phone down.

Scourge sets Starfire into the playpen he pulls Sonic closer to him and nuzzles into his cheek, making the azure male purr softly.

Raven looks down at the counter, she really never seen her parents act so lovingly towards each other like Sonic and Scourge are, the most she seen was them arguing about something stupid...they never really looked happy, well Sally did but not Shadow he always looked so unhappy with Sally around.

When she was picked up by him and she asked who Sonic was...she could clearly see the regret in his eyes.

Sonic chuckles, "S-Stop...you know I'm t-ticklish t-there~" he purred feeling Scourge's brush against his sides.

Scourge only purrs against his husband, he really missed hearing the azure male laugh, and purr it was always a pleasure sound to hear.

Things have been going great with the family, now that Sonic had that little vacation that he needed...he really needed a break from his kids so he could process what had happened with Raven and his past.   But he couldn't help but to think about Shadow, he checked his social media, to see that Shadow had confirmed that Raven is now in a good home and that if anyone is to blame. It's him and not Sonic.

"Is everything okay Sonic?" Scourge asked.

"Y-yeah..." Sonic admits, as he watches the kids play with the blocks in the playroom.

"Are still thinking about that post?"

"...I-It's j-just..." Sonic said as he took a deep breath. "S-Shadow wasn't a-always like t-this" he admits as his ears tilted back. "H-He was really s-sweet and c-caring towards me and Silver...a-after the death of his mother, he became d-depressed and suicidal" Sonic shifted his gazes up to Scourge, before he lets out a small sigh. "B-But things c-changed for the worst...w-when I came back to school..."

Scourge took a hold of Sonic's cheeks wiping away his tears with his thumbs, "H-He...j-just n-never t-told me w-what I did wrong..." he sniffed, at the painful memories of him getting just getting abused by Shadow and Sally through out his middle school and high school life.

"Ssh...It's okay...I'm sure he's just realizing his horrible mistakes that he has down" Scourge said to Sonic, as he plants a small kiss on the blue hedgehog's forehead.

Sonic just snuggles into Scourge, "I-I hope so..." he admits back to Scourge.

"...Mama..." Starfire called out. Sonic turned his attention over to the hoglet who was holding her arms up.

"Oh S-Star, I'm okay..." Sonic said to the hoglet helping her out of the play pen. "C-come on little one...let's get you b-back into r-routine of learning"

Starfire only looked at Sonic in confusion but only purred when seeing Scourge, "...Da..." she said reaching out her hand to touch him. Scourge chuckles and gives her his finger. "Your getting there...Princess."
