Enemy to Friends

The head of Child Protection Services, gave the final signature onto the joint custody document, It was rather a long six months of waiting, since different Specialists had to come over to see if Shadow's living arrangements were legible for a child like Raven.

As for the days that Shadow and Sonic decided on, besides holidays, like Christmas, Birthdays, and Thanksgiving, would spent with everyone as a family, but Sunday through Wednesday Sonic would have Raven, but by lunch time on Wednesday Shadow takes over for Wednesday through Saturday.

Shadow hugged Sonic, something that he never thought he do cause of Sonic's fears, but he just really needed to hug someone, it took him six months to actually prove to himself...and everyone that he can change.

It took awhile for the two to get into routine with this joint custody, so far Raven was still a little to young to understand what was going on...but she didn't need to after all she got to see her Birth Father more than it was during that six months.

Raven was wearing a heavy light purple coat, with a black scarf around her neck, with thick fabric jeans and purple snow boots, with black gloves, in her arms in the same the stuffed dino plush toy, that was wearing a scarf and hat. "Come on Daddy..." the chipmunk called out for her Dad, as she was standing by the apartment door.

Shadow was adjust his red scarf onto his neck, and a thick black heavy winter jacket, with dark jeans, his shoes were designed to withstand almost every natural environment, he slips on his gloves before grabbing his car keys. "Okay okay...Just slow down Raven, Mommy is going anywhere" he said to the chipmunk, he really hadn't gotten back with Sally, nor told her that he had a shared custody with Sonic...since she was the really problem...and after hearing Raven call Sonic, her mother, it just made it better. He helped the chipmunk into her car seat before getting into the driver seat. "We just have to make a quick stop...Okay Raven, there is someone I'd like you to meet"

"Okay Daddy~" the Chipmunk smiled. Shadow had been missing out on his routine again...with not visiting his Mother's Grave, and now that he had Raven, it would be better if she found out where her name came from...he really had to thank Silver for thinking of the name, it really suited the chipmunk. It was a quick stop at the flower shop before heading over to the cemetery, when the car came to a stop he helped his daughter out of her car seat and onto the snow covered ground.

"Daddy? Why are we here?" Raven asked as she cling onto Shadow's leg, who was holding the bouquet of white roses in his hands.

"You don't need to be afraid Raven...this is just the place where people and mobians go for a really long sleep" Shadow explained as he took her hand and lead her through the cemetery.

"Oh...is there where you wanted me to meet someone?" Raven asked.

"Mhm...she is mine and Uncle Silver's Mother" Shadow said as he stops at the statue with the photo sitting on the stone with only a little bit of snow on the frame.

"Oo...She's pwetty" Raven smiled.

"Yeah...she is..." Shadow said as he brushes off the snow so he could set the flowers down onto the grave. "Hey Mom...it's me, I know I hadn't visited in six months...but I had a good reason, I was busy trying make up for my wrong doings" he said as he took Raven's hand to pull her close. "And I'd like you to meet Raven..."

"Hewwo Gran-Gran~" The Chipmunk greeted.

"She shares the name with your middle-name..." Shadow admits, Raven nodded as she wraps her arms around Shadow so that she could be carried. "I would like to stay longer...but I promised someone that I wouldn't be late, I miss you Mom" he said as he started walking back to his car.

"Bye Gran-Gran" Raven waved at the grave, with a smile on her face.

Once seat beats were buckled up the car started driving away. This was a start of a new change for Shadow...but he wasn't doing this alone, now that had that one thing to make him happy.

The car came to a stop at the park, where the Gay Couple was waiting.

Shaundre is wearing a light blue winter coat, with thick black jeans, light blue snow boots, and a black scarf around his neck.

Sonic is wearing a red winter coat, with a green scarf around his neck, baggy thick jeans, with his red sneakers. In his arms Starfire, who was wearing a light pink winter coat, over a thermal baby onesie, with baggy jeans and light pink snow boots, with black gloves.

Scourge is wearing a black jacket, with a blue scarf around his neck and baggy jeans with his green sneakers and black gloves.

"Sorry...I'm late...I had to visit my mom" Shadow said as he walked up the couple.

"I-it's fine S-Shadow" Sonic said as he watching  Shaundre play in the snow at the empty playground.

It was great time for everyone, to be able to play in the snow, show the older kids how to have a snowball fight...Sonic got get to some cute pictures of Starfire on her first day out in the snow, as well as the Scourge and Shadow playing with Raven and Shaundre.

After coming home to Sonic's House, it was time relaxation time for the adults since the kids can play some more in the little play room.

All is good for this family...sure they had their ups and downs, but now it's been nothing but filled with love, happiness, and affection.
