Chapter 12 (The Calm Before The Storm)

I kept walking up throughout the night because I kept thinking about introducing Rhea to my mom, I still haven't told them that I'm gay so I have no idea what's going to happen. It was almost six am and I gave up on trying to sleep, but I stayed laying down because I was comfortable and Rhea would probably wake up in like an hour anyway. The time was now seven and she still wasn't up so I got out of bed to have a shower then do my makeup, I stopped worrying about everything even if it was just for a short moment while I had a shower. The flight today is only four hours and I arranged for a car to be there when we land, our flight takes off at 10:00am so we'll leave at 8:00am and then we should make it in time. After I was fully dressed and ready the time was 7:30am and I woke Rhea up, "hey baby you should get up now then you have time to get ready before our flight." She groaned and rolled out of bed, her short black hair was all messed up but she still looked cute. She kissed me then went into the bathroom, and got ready. She got out of the bathroom and we left right away which was nice but when we got to the airport a bunch of paparazzi were waiting for something or someone but I just assumed that a celebrity was there so I tried to walk past them but then both Rhea and I got swarmed and security had to come rescue us but I could still hear them yelling from behind us, "y/n what's happening with you and Damian?! And why are you with Rhea at the airport?!" I ignored them and we checked in our suitcases then headed through security. "I can't believe that the paparazzi wanted to talk to us." Rhea said while looking at me "I know right? Thats crazy." Our plane got called for boarding and we headed aboard. I spent the entire flight stressing about coming back home, I haven't been back in years and now I was coming back with my girlfriend.

After the plane landed I found the car that I ordered and drove to our hotel, its only 2:30pm so I took Rhea sight seeing for a little. "Where to first?" She asked me as we got into the car, "I'm gonna take you around and show you my past." She clapped and then we both started laughing, the first place I took her was my old elementary school, "this is where everything really started for me, this is the place that I first started wrestling." I emailed my old teachers yesterday and they told me that they still work here and they wanted me to stop by and talk to the kids so I thought that would be an amazing first stop on our tour/trip. I got out of the car then walked over to Rhea's side and grabbed her hand pulling her out of the car and into the school, "we have a speech to give right now darling." Her eyes lit up and she looked really happy, "seriously that's amazing love I'm so excited!" She hugged me and we walked in through the front office and talked to the secretary. She immediately knew who I was and gave us the room number telling us that multiple different classes were going to meet in the library to hear us talk and that the kids and really excited to talk to us. I've never spoken in front of this many people before but they all seem so interested in me that it can't be that bad. "Hey everyone!" I walked out into the library with Rhea and all of the kids were so excited it warmed my heart. We were having so much fun and we had thirty minutes left so that we could just answer questions from the kids, they all stood in a line to ask us questions. "How did you become a wrestler?" Rhea looked at me "you should answer this one." I thought for a second then responded to the kid, "well I started here in elementary school by joining the wrestling team then I went on to continue wrestling in high school then I started to train outside of school and then someone from wwe saw one of my matches and here I am!" They all started clapping and it was adorable, we answered a bunch more questions but unfortunately it was almost time for us to go so we answered one more question. A little girl who was really shy, "um, my question is for y/n and I was just wondering do you like Damian Priest?" Rhea was holding in a laugh and I didn't know how to respond, but I didn't want to ruin the story for this little kid. "Well, I'm not sure yet so I guess that you'll just have to watch and see." We said goodbye to all of the kids and went back to the rental car, "that was very tiring." I said and she laughed, "I can't believe that you like Damian Priest, he's so lucky." She sighed and I hit her arm, "we should go back to the hotel so that we can relax for a bit." She nodded and I drove us to the hotel, which was really nice. After we checked in and got to the room we sat in bed together and just relaxed like we said that we would do because tomorrow was the special night of meeting my parents so we needed as much rest as we could get and I already feel bad for Rhea.
