About Last Night

Chapter 20

Noél couldn't stop staring at the enormous house. Hyungwon came over and opened her door taking her hand to help her out. She stood there staring for a few seconds, just in sheer awe of the house before Hyungwon's smiling face came into view carrying the bags of food from the backseat. He gave her his free hand as they made their way up the front steps and into the huge house.

No one was around when they first entered the house and Hyungwon dragged Noél through the front of the house and into the kitchen, to deposit the food so it could be put away. As expected, Ann was baking up something delicious in the kitchen and Kihyun was in there keeping her company while Minhyuk was just trying to steal a taste of whatever his mate was baking. Hyungwon cleared his throat and they all turned around to welcome him home.

Someone must have sent a mental link because within minutes the kitchen was bursting at the seams with the whole pack and all their mates. The moment Changkyun and Celest walked through the doors and Celest saw Noél, she shrieked with excitement and ran over giving her best friend a huge hug. The she pulled back scowling at Noél.

"Please tell me you didn't hunt down poor Hyungwon here just to bring you here to drag me home? I apologize in advance for my overbearing bestie and roommate. She can be very demanding and overprotective." Celest laughed and hugged Noél tight before telling her how much she loved and missed her.

"No... Not at all. I just wanted to bring my mate home for everyone to meet." He said with a smirk on his face.

Celest moved to look around Noél for the new face that in the group so she could introduce herself when she heard Hyungwon giggling at her. Changkyun tapped her on the shoulder and smiled at her whispering something into her ear.

"Baby, I think he means, your friend, Noél." He said with a smile on his face not sure how his mate was going to take the news. Celest's face shot up staring at Kyunie her mouth dropped open before turning her head so fast the rest of them would have gotten whiplash to stare at her best friend. Her eyes went wide, and she almost jumped on Noél hugging her tightly.

"Shut up! Are you serious? Really!? This is so amazing! Now you really are my sister! This is SO awesome!" Celest was hugging her and jumpy around excitedly while Noél was trying to calm her down.

"Damn it, woman! Will you relax? You are going to make me cry and then I will mess up my makeup and will have to hurt you." She hugged her friend back before pushing her away and into the waiting arms of her mate to relax her. Noél tried to collect herself as she looked over the faces of her new pack. She didn't know what to do and sudden she heard Alise's voice in her head and zoomed in on her listening to her words.

Just say hi and be yourself. You will be fine. They are all super nice guys, once you get to know them and get over the urge to kill them for driving you crazy.

She just stared at Alise not really sure what was going on or what to do.

Wait... You mean Hyungwon hasn't explained this to you?

Alise just smiled at her watching Noél shake her head no and began to speak again.

It's ok. I will walk you through it. You just think of the person that you want to communicate with and speak your thoughts and they will be able to hear you. So... Focus on me and just talk in your head. It is a lot easier than it sounds and you will find yourself doing it when you least expect it. Just be careful not to think too loudly, or everyone might hear your thoughts.

Noél nodded and focused on Alise as she began speaking in her head.

Can... Can you hear me? Am I really doing it?

You are. See! I told you it was easy! Now this makes having private conversations with others so much easier. Alise spoke to her.

I never knew this was possible. We never had anything like this in my family.

I have found out, that this is a technique or skill that only happens when you belong to a pack. You family were rogue wolves, correct? So, they never would have had this skill to even teach you.

Yeah, they were. Not that they ever taught me much to begin with.

Well, you don't have to worry about that now. You are part of this family, our family. And everyone here will always be willing to help you and teach you whatever you don't know. I'm so happy that Hyungwon found his mate and it makes me even more happy that it turned out to be one of my closet friends. 

Noél found herself being pulled back to reality. Hyungwon was staring between her and Alise with a pretty good idea of what was going on. He just smiled down at her brilliantly taking her hand in his and bringing it to his mouth for a soft, gentle kiss. Then Noél turned to Jooheon and Alise and bowed.

"Alpha and Luna, I am the true mate to your dear brother Hyungwon and I will do my best to serve you and your pack for the remainder of my days." She had been looking between them both before bowing her head in respect. Hyungwon had be standing there with his chest puffed out in pride of his strong and beautiful mate. Alise and Jooheon both walked over and gave her a quick hug, with Alise kissing her cheek.

"You are welcome, my sister. I only ask that you love him with all that you are and protect each other, always." Alise said while Jooheon shook his head in conformation and wrapped his arm around Alise's waist.

"Noél, we welcome you to your new home and new life. You are now a member of our pack. Take care of him." Jooheon winked at her as he began to lead Alise from the kitchen.
