Another thing that teenagers do during the summer is spend time with their cousins who have come from neighbouring towns.

On a scale of one to ten, Taehyung's response on how much he likes Yeonjun, his only younger cousin, would probably be negative.

But things appear to be a little different this time. Perhaps as a result of Yeonjun finally reaching puberty and losing interest in hot wheels. 

That phrase was truely vexing. He can't even complain because likewise he is identically obnoxious when it comes to his pastimes, which include watching horror films and playing pretty boy late at night to distract himself from the ghosts in his room -  (Don't misunderstand him; he calls his electric guitar pretty boy.) It has a royal black body and a cream pick guard, and because it is so gorgeous, he couldn't help but nickname it that.

Taehyung was currently sitting in the living room having a serious chat with his elder and one younger cousin. They were discussing going on a treasure hunt in their grandfather's old storeroom. It appears that their grandfather had a reputation of a charmer. In the modern era, their pops was a rizzler of a rizzler. 

"I hope you know what you're saying because it sounds completely ridiculous," Seojoon replies, rolling his eyes.

"Broski, there is no way I am lying. Do you know the old man who lives next to my house?" Taehyung, who is seated on the incliner with a controller in his hand, side-kicks Yeonjun's back as he leans forward from the chair in an attempt to heighten the tension with his vocal sound effects.

"So, he like, asked as to whether I had the guide from Pops on how to court an Omega," His older brothers' expressions of confusion grow as he finishes the phrase.

"Hell, Nawh!" Wooshik gags with an accent. "First of all, why would a 70-year-old oldie need a courting guide?" The others snort as he yells while shaking his head behind his hands. "I humbly ask your pardon. The older gentleman was single. And was smitten for the elderly woman who lived across the street."

"But what does 'Was single' and 'Had a crush' mean, exactly? Did he. . .?" Another round of grunts & chuckles were triggered by Seojoon's dramatic frown-inducing question.

"No fool! He is no longer single! He got a date, and they're happily going out, unlike you guys!" The youngest person in the room spoke with mockary in his tone, causing Taehyung's jaw and the laughter in the room to fall down. 

"Yes. That's right, you guys are a shame on the purebloods." He continues, now standing in front of all of them.

"You sound like you're courting someone," Hyungsik says. The other guys in the room made apprehensive noises in agreement while they roll their eyes. "I mean. . ." The others start to sneer and side-eye the youngest as he massages the back of his head.

"Which is the reason..." He draws in a long breath. "I want you all to look in the storage for Pops' guide book. Because the old gentleman acquired one that belonged to my father. Your fathers most likely have it as well. Also, since we're all at Taehyung's house, let's check out Pops' old store room."

Directly questioning Taemin was never a possibility. Taehyung knew his father very well. He would bombard them with countless questions, tease them, and finally demand they divulge their intentions on whom to court. He would then concluded by saying, "I don't remember, find it yourself," before returning to his brothers to resume their game of ludo.

They had therefore skipped the hurdle of questioning their fathers and were now at their pop's storage area.

Taehyung's primary thought the entire time was: Will reading Grandpa's guide give him the courage to finally date Jungkook? Will he be then able to persuade the omega to join them in the café? without experiencing panic and anxiousness?

"Why's your name on the guide, Tae?" cut off his train of thought. Seojoon's huge eyes growled in uncertainty as they glanced through the very initial few pages of the old brown book.

"Huh?"

Kim Taehyung was Pop's name, too?

That's quite a plot twist. However, the disparity between Pop Taehyung and Pops' grandchild Taehyung was extremely amusing.
