The first thing Hunter did to make Max feel welcome was touch him on the shoulder with his muzzle in a friendly manner. Max smiled broadly.
"To be clear, Max, this is the kind of activity expected of individuals in positions of authority. They serve as an illustration, motivation, and reinforcement source for those in their immediate environment."
