Not fit for Luna

Ch 30

Silena fully concentrated on exams. That was the beginning of May already, and she was a RUS. Warewolfs did not fully follow norwegian traditions. For example, they did not run RUS basses, but they also were wearing red  coveralls and parting every day. She still was not so close with classmates so she skipped most of the parties deciding that most likely she was going to leave this pack sooner or later and that parties with people who were going to forget her did not worth her time especially if she was going to feel like outsider. Olav and a team were still at the meetings or out of the house, and she made herself busy with math. Being together with Bjørn she slacked a lot on the studies. She was naturally good in math and Norwegian but could not crack science. Surprisingly she discovered that Olav was good in it and he liked to teach her, so she was happily accepting his help for a time being and now their nights activities had some variety between sex, run and private science classes.
From that strange shower experience, he seemed to change a little as well. He started to tell her more details about what was going on. After they spotted 10 intruders on the north boarder (he did not say but Silena knew that north boarder was with Red Moon pack) that day when Silena almost drawn in the sea Silver Moon pack created military alliance with about 60% of the Scandinavian packs to protect each other. The biggest pack of the Scandinavia (again he did not say names but she knew what pack it was) was not happy with it claiming it threatens their safety and saying that they could not let it just be and gonna take actions. Starting from that point, Olav was getting a lot of reports from different packs and sides that Red Moon pack was gathering forces on the border and going to attack any minute . Silena did not believe that it could possibly be true. She tried to convince him that if soldiers were gathered on the border, it was because Olav indeed provoked Alpha Jorgen, and he had put extra security in place. Olav said that he had right to create union with who ever he wanted and that Red Moon pack also had Union with several others and most important they started it with abusing the boarder crossing rule too many times and intruding their territory.
Silena did not take it very seriously. This tension had existed for a while and was going up and down since the fire, but nobody would be stupid enough to start actual war.
One evening, she heard them being very excited leaving the meeting room, Geir was clapping Olav on the shoulder saying “man, we can do it. We damn can finally  do it”.
- What are you celebrating? – she smiled
- Nothing – Olav answered sharply, but Geir already whispered with his lips “revenge ”.
Olav gave him an angry look. Normally, Silena would feel sorry for Geir, but she got too scared by the answer. Olav took her to the room  and forced to study. That was an evening before her last exam. 3 first one she done OK, and the last one was math, which she was always fine with.
- Olav, are you really starting the war?
- It is not news for you, I guess, Silena. Don’t worry and concentrate on the exam tomorrow. We will leave tomorrow afternoon with some of the guys, I will say goodbye before I go.
- Where are you going?
- You know I can’t discuss this either.
- Is it dangerous?
- That is a war, Silena. It is always dangerous, but that one started 3 years ago and has been dangerous ever since. Let’s sleep now we both have very important day tomorrow.
Silena could sleep very little. She had a lot to think about. She was hoping she would never need to do it, but tonight, she had to finally decide which side to pick. She spent half year with Silver Moon pack  it was not always the best time and a lot of things annoyed her here but she got used to people and even if she was not going to mark Olav she felt responsibilities as Luna for them. But Red Moon was her family, and they were about to be attacked, and she was going to choose the side of the innocent.  For a few weeks already, she was trying to figure out what they are planning. Once she saw that door to meeting room was not fully closed and padding by she was able to read several packs names with question marks next to them, she knew those packs were also having boarder with Red Moon pack. Once, when Olav was explaining her science, she saw on another side of his paper that he had done some calculations for how much fuel they would need, how many cars and water. Another time, she overheard them arguing about the road. Piece by piece, she  put puzzles together. Silena believed that Olav’s alliance should attack from White Moon  pack boarder taking Red Moon by surprise. Her plan now was to get home and worn the people.
The next morning, she woke up and discovered that Olav had already left. She was disappointed because she wanted to remember their last morning together and it was the last chance to spend time with her mate. She did not have any illusions that once she would cross the border, he would never forgive her and would not accept her back. She also did not know what going to happen to the rest of them.
Suddenly, Olav walked into the room with tray and simple food on it.
He placed it in front of her, inviting her to eat, but he himself barely touched the food.
- Not hungry?
- I have a different dish in mind – he winked
- No, I have an exam today, I gonna be distracted and tired
- Don’t worry, I will take care of everything. You will not need to lift a finger
- Ok – she shrugged. In the end, it was going to be the last time ever.
He delivered as he promised. It was a very different experience again. He was very gentle, carrying, soft. He massaged all her body, kissed every centimetre of it, even her toes . To endure just a little bit more and she had a chance to win even if victory would not feel good.
