Not fit for Luna

Ch 11 Olav's PVO

Her smell was driving him crazy. It was almost embarrassing that it was affecting him so much. Around 5 a.m., he could not endure it any longer and went to wake up Sulveig.
- Morning
His cousin was annoyed. He knew she was both a deep sleeper and owl, but there was no other person nearby he could ask.
- Too early morning, Olav. – she almost snapped but calmed down - Congratulations on finding your mate, Geir woke me up in the middle of the night to break the news.
- Thanks. Sorry I woke you up, but I need your help and your advice. You are the only one I trust who had mate before, so I need to know how do I block her smell to not affect me longer?
- What? That is all the point of having a mate to  get crazy about each other and enjoy the damn thing.
- I am Alpha, I have responsibilities. I can’t turn to loving dove, especially with the mate from the enemy pack.
- Was not she running from them?
- Could be a trap.
- If you are staying here at 5 a.m., not able to bare her smell, the chances that it is trap are miserable. And yes, you can because your responsibility is also to find Luna for us, is it not?
He did not answer that. She was right. The elders or what is left of them also were insisting on him finding Luna, and pressure was coming from the Court as well. Olav was so tired of all of these problems. Since the fire he did not even have time to grieve ,  he was constantly fighting to keep his pack.  One officially could become the Alpha only when he turned 18 and night of the fire he was 2 month short of 18. He was approach by Court right after funeral and informed that pack will be splitter over the others or Alpha from another pack will be found to take over and when he would turn 18 he could challenge this Alpha to get the pack back. Olav was furious. He screamed on them, and Solveig had to hold him to not fight the court representatives, but she screamed on them as well.
Nobody listen. New Alpha arrived week after funeral  and Olav and the rest of the pack who ever survived the fire had to submit to this stranger. Olav could not bare it. He had so much anger it was burning him, and a minute he turned 18, he challenged the guy. This temporary Alpha was a clown. He was even scared to fight properly. Olav concur him in a 30-minute fight. It was tempting to tear apart his trout, but Olav constrained himself to avoid more troubles with Court.
All pack members supported him. Nobody even knew what happened to this temporary Alpha, but he disappeared right after challenge, and nobody saw him again. Olav suspected that some of his soldiers might have killed him, but he did not want to check.
The next problem came short after. The new build factory, which exploded and took so many wolves with it, was built on loaned money. And by the papers Red Moon pack provided seemed like not only the new payments were due but most of the old one as well. It was impossible. Olav knew how careful his father was with finance - he was good, educated businessmen, and he had highly qualified helpers. He would never allowe to not pay the  bills. He went to Court and accused Red Moon pack in forge of documents. They say that he need evidence, but all evidence burned, on the contrary, Red Moon was able to provide some documents signed by temporary Alpha confirming that Silver Moon pack agreed to all the claims. So Olav ended up with huge debt on the pack name. Red Moon Alpha suggested that debt could be paid by territory. That was the day when he met Silena for the first time. Olav just  got out of the meeting room with Red Moon pack alpha Jorgen – he tried to appeal to his conscience, but Jorgen laughed at his face. Olav got angry and shifted to the wolf. Jorgen’s bodyguards shifted to wolves as well, ready for the fight, and Olav had to retreat. It did not make any sense to fight the whole Red Moon pack alone. He walked out of the room shifting to the human on the way, and that is when he saw Silena with Alpha’s Jorgen son. This guy shifted to the wolf as well but it was obviously to late and there was two girls next to him brown-haired stepped back and the blond haired stepped front trying to hold him, so Olav said something like:
- Place, puppy. And take you doll with you. – and he smirked and walked away naked all the way to his car.
Olav got extra angry because of those girls. When the factory went on fire, it was the opening day, and there was a concert, and there were entire families with kids, classes from school, and everyone who had the opportunity to come. Luckily, not everyone was inside. There were also some outside activities pack members participated in. But older girls, everyone of Olav’s age and a couple of years younger were preparing a performance at the factory hall, and they all burned inside. They burned together with Solveig’s mate. He was responsible for the sound and was running rehearsal with them. So not only their parents were taking from them but their future mates. That is why he was not even hoping to find one, and that is why elders were pushing him to choose Luna because nobody believed his mate was alive. Funny enough, when he came back from Red Moon pack, he told his friends entire story, including this last part of meeting Alpha’s son with two girls. So unfair it was that all their girls were dead, and this puppy was having two. Olav swore that he would get revenge and also would take his loved one from him, and now this blond girl ran into him by herself.
