Chapter five

"But you are going to make sure he gets enough sleep right?" Bruce asked and Steve nodded, "So, he will be okay?" Steve nodded again. "Good, he is the sweetest thing that has shone up on our doorstep when Clint brought him here," Natasha said, she took a liking to the kid, but she could sense some fear, and sadness inside of him, "Yea he is. Do any of you know the Joker?" Steve asked the avengers, they all nodded their heads, "Well, apparently, Jason is the second robin, his full name is Jason Todd and was revived in a pit by someone called Ra Al Ghul, and apparently he is scared of the Joker whenever he sees a clown he thinks it's him, so I promised him that would never happen and will never come for him," Steve explained.

Clint, Tony, Bruce, and everyone else seemed pissed off, "The so called, 'Joker' is never coming near him and if he does I will simply rip his head off his own shoulders and feed his body to the sharks!" Clint and Tony said together, and this kinda scared everyone. Tony grabbed his phone and turned it on, "Peter, Sam, and Bucky are coming to the tower right now. Will Jason still be sleeping?" Tony asked. "I believe so, yes." Steve answered. A few minutes have passed and everyone was siting on the couch talking to each other when they heard the elevator ding.

Peter, Sam, and Bucky came walking over when Peter was going to say something but his, Sam's and Bucky's eyes landed on Jason, "Who is that?" Peter asked, "This is Jason. Clint and Tony too I guess adopted him," Thor answered, Steve was running his fingers through Jason's hair to keep him asleep, "Well, his hero name is Red Hood. He has brought down-" Bruce was cut off by Bucky saying, "33% in crime alley? Yep I have heard of him," Sam and Peter gave him a look of impression, "I actually figured out his last name since he told me he was the second robin, I believe his last name was Todd? Jason Todd right?" Steve asked Bruce and he nodded, Peter took out his phone and took a picture of Jason sleeping, everyone else laughed.

"I guess you were the right one for Tony to adopt, Peter," Natasha said, "I should probably bring him to his room to sleep. Peter, Sam, and Bucky are you guys staying for the night?" Steve asked turning around with Jason in his arms curled into this chest. They all said 'yes' and Sam stopped Steve, "I think Wanda will be stopping by in a few minutes, maybe you can stay on the couch with Jason so she can meet him while he is sleeping?" Sam asked nervously, Steve just chuckled and nodded his head, "Well, I don't think I can have him on my lap anymore since my whole lower half of my body is going to sleep," Steve said. Clint made his move first, "I'll take him," Clint said taking Jason from Steve and sitting down on the couch with Jason's head resting on his chest.

Jason was just about to move when Natasha took out her phone and started to record when Jason was starting to snuggle with Clint. Everyone started to give quiet aw's and Wanda did too while she popped out of no where, "How long were you standing there?" Peter asked her, "Long enough to see this cute boy snuggling with Clint while I was recording too? Yep," Wanda replied, Tony turned to Wanda and shook her hand, "Wanda this is Jason Todd and his hero name Red Hood," Tony said, "You mean the Red Hood that brought crime down 33% in crime alley?" Wanda asked and Tony nodded. "Okay, I am bringing him to bed now, so he can sleep in his own bed instead of laying on Clint for the rest of the night," Steve said, but Clint only gave him a glare and gave Jason to him while he walked away with him to bring him to his room.

"It's getting late, maybe we should all go to bed," Bruce suggested, everyone nodded and said their good nights and went to bed. It was in the middle of the night when they heard a piercing scream coming from Jason's room, all the avengers rushed to his room, and opened the door only to see him thrashing around then he let out another piercing scream, Clint, Tony, and Steve rushed to his side and pin him down, "Hey, Jason wake up!" Steve yelled, "Jason it's a dream! Wake up!" Clint yelled. They were trying there best to wake him up but it wasn't working, and one of Jason's arm broke free and hit the table next to his bed, Peter came inside and jumped onto his bed and giving him a hug, the squirming stopped and Jason shot his eyes open.

He immediately sat up with Peter in his arms. Jason was still trembling and tears still falling down his cheeks, "Jason, are you okay? Is there something that you are not telling us?" Tony asked, Clint shot him a glare, while Bruce exited the room to grab some bandages, "Tony, he is still stunned by what just happened give him some time right now then he will answer you," after a good solid 30 seconds he calmed down, "Sorry to wake you," he mumbled, "Hey, you're fine Jason. Was there anything that you weren't telling us?" Bruce asked.

Jason put his gaze to the floor and did a slight nod, "I didn't tell you about night terrors when I talk about him," Jason explained, "And why didn't you tell us this?" Natasha asked, Jason was quiet for a moment, "I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to worry, and wake you up in the middle of the night..." Jason said quietly, Clint saw that Jason thought he was in trouble, "Jason you're not in trouble we were just wondering why you didn't tell us," Clint said, Jason shook his head, "I'm fine now. You guys can go back to sleep, and you can take the kid that is on me, pl—" Jason was cut off by Wanda, "His name is Peter and he gave you a hug to calm you down since his hugs do calm you down." Wanda explained.

Jason was confused now, and it was 6am. Jason sighed and looked at Clint, "Are there anymore avengers you didn't tell me about?" Jason asked. Clint just shrugged, and smiled, "Sorry, about that. The women that just talked to you is Wanda, the boy that is on you is Peter, Tony's adopted son, Sam aka Falcon, and Bucky the winter soldier," Natasha introduced them and pointing at each of them. Jason pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, "Okay anyone else?" Jason asked, everyone shook their heads. Jason then started to shoo them out of the room so he could change and Tony took Peter from Jason.
