"And I ain't your girlfriend, but you don't want me to see nobody else."
--
I've been searching the train compartments for some familiar faces and the boy who's been haunting my daydreams.
I heard a familiar voice drawl out my name, "Darling, miss me?"
Butterflies started to dance around in my stomach as I heard his footsteps approaching.
Oh, you have no idea how much I missed you.
Trying to not let my excitement peak through my face, I ran and slam myself into a bear hug with him.
I could smell the familiar smell of cedarwood and mint cologne. It's always been the same, but I've never been sick of this smell.
It's been years and he's still the same. Having been friends for nearly a decade, I would recognize this voice anywhere.
In fact, this just might be my favorite voice in the whole wide world.
"I see, someone's eager. How was your summer, Ame?" I rolled my eyes at the nickname and finally let go of Draco. My cheeks were red and I was catching my breath from the excitement of the last few minutes.
I cleared my throat and said, "It was good, could've been better if someone decided to write me back."
That was true, I can't count the nights when I couldn't sleep because of my worries. By my worries, I mean my worries about Draco's welfare.
"You see, Ame, father has been strict about things. Especially because of the state I'm in." He rubbed his eyes gently and ran his fingers through his messy hair.
That's when I really got a good look at him. He looks more tired than before, but it couldn't hide how handsome he is.
Those piercing ice blue eyes held so much emotion in them. They looked right through me and my heart was racing faster than ever.
I could tell he wasn't getting the rest he needed and things at home were probably similar to mine.
His blonde hair is messier than ever, but it looks better on him than when it's slicked back.
I looked at his hand that is resting on his neck as he was previously rubbing it.
The shiny silver rings decorating his fingers.
Yep, I will definitely have a nosebleed from the hotness radiating off of this man.
"Come on, let's go find Blaise and that annoying Pugface who's been clinging on to me since I got here." Draco playfully jabbed my shoulder and led me to his compartment.
I finally snapped out of my trance and shook my head a few times.
Pansy? Since when did they become close?
--
I heard the sliding door close and decided to sit next to Draco.
Before I settled down, I hugged Blaise and whispered in his ears. "Long time no see", as a smile decorated my face.
Blaise raised his eyebrow and said, "By a long time you mean two weeks? You look even prettier than the last time I saw you, Amelia."
I gigged as I felt his breath hit the side of my neck.
If Draco is my best friend, then Blaise is a close second.
Blaise was the person for me when I cried and cried on his shoulder. He was the person that comforted me when I was crying about the one person I shouldn't be crying over.
Draco.
I glanced out of my peripheral vision and saw Draco watching with a concealed expression.
Slowly stalking over to him, I made myself comfortable as I rested my legs on top of his and leaned my head against the glass window.
There's no sight of Pansy yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if she barged in at any moment.
As soon as that thought crossed my mind, an obnoxious shriek invaded my eardrums.
Speak of the devil.
"Hi Draco! How was your summer?" Pansy said as she leaned against the sliding door and batted her eyelashes dumbly.
The blonde next to me scoffed as the words left her mouth, but decided to flirt back anyways.
"Could have been better if you were there." The words left his lips.
I snapped my head towards him and saw him looking at me with an amused grin.
Not his usual grin. A grin that challenges me.
I huffed and looked out the window.
"Is someone jealous?"
I heard the smug voice of Draco whisper against my ear and replied without looking back.
"Never over you, Malfoy."
