Y/N POV:

Dane released my hand and went to open the door, I was standing behind the couch, as if it would magically hide the fact that I was pregnant.

"Hi!" My parents came in hugging Dane, followed by my younger brother, who was 19. He and Dane were practically brothers themselves.

"Happy birthday sweetheart," my mom said as she came over to hug me.

"Thanks mom," my family was fortunately very close, as was Dane's, and now we would be permanently joined.

Dane's parents came in right behind them, then his sister and her family, and our friends.

After everyone finished their greetings, we started socializing. My nerves started to die down a bit.

After a while, Dane and the guys were in the living room, while me, our mom's, Dane's sister, and my best friends were in the kitchen, talking.

"How are classes?" Dane's mom asked me.

"They're good, finals are soon," I mentioned.

"So only one more year after this," my mom said excitedly.

I laughed anxiously.

Dane's sister's daughter, Becca, ran in at the right time. She was only 2. While we have a good relationship, she was clinging to me more than usual.

"Baby," Becca said, pointing to me.

Dear god, help me.

"Dane, guys, time to eat," I yelled, desperately trying to change the subject. I grabbed Dane's hand as he and everyone else flooded the kitchen and dining room.

"We need to tell them soon," I said, panicking.

"Or maybe not at all, your dad keeps calling you his sweet little girl, then glaring at me."

"He's joking." I paused, remembering him threatening an ex from high school, "I think."

We had added extra small tables and chairs to fit everyone. Dane and I sat next to each other, his hand resting on my leg to calm me down.

Dane's brother-in-law was helping Becca eat, when she wiped her messy face on his sleeve.

"Be thankful you guys have a few more years before this," he joked, wiping himself and his daughter.

Dane and I just looked at each other.

What the fuck is happening.

After eating, we moved into the living room for presents. Everyone sat around Dane and I, and I was getting more nervous as this is when we would tell me. I opened the presents, and thanked everyone.

"So, we have something to tell you guys." Dane started.

"You're pregnant?" My brother joked, and everyone laughed.

"Um, actually, yes." I said quietly.

Everyone stopped laughing. It was silent.

"Cake?" Dane blurted.

"Are you guys joking?" My dad was looking straight at Dane.

"No, dad. I'm pregnant." I said, Dane pulled me towards him.

"Then we're happy for you guys!" My mom exclaimed, standing up to hug us. Suddenly the room was full of congratulations, hugging, and tears.

Eventually, we ate cake, and people started leaving.

Dane closed the door behind our friends, who were the last to leave.

"Well, that was weird," I said, starting to pick up.

"I'm just glad it's over with," he turned around. "Hey sit down, take a break," Dane said, grabbing a plate from me.

"I'm pregnant, not dying." I grabbed it back.

I walked into the kitchen to clean, but Dane walked into the guest room.

I was putting away leftovers when Dane came out, holding his hands behind his back, with a sly look on his face.

I closed the fridge and he put a small bag on the counter in front of me.

"Happy birthday Y/N." He smiled.

"You're making me nervous," I said as I walked to him and started to look in the bag. I pulled out a small, black jewelry box. Inside was a silver necklace, with a very small circular locket. I opened it to find the ultrasound on one side, and a blank side on the other.

"I thought maybe you could put a picture of the baby on the other side when they're born." He shrugged.

"Dane, it's beautiful, thank you," I said tearing up, pulling him in for a hug. "This is so sweet," I turned around for him to put it on me. He was smiling when I turned back around.

"There's something else," he motioned to the bag.

I looked in, but couldn't tell, I reached in and pulled it out.

It was a blue music box, with silver details on it. I gasped as I pulled it out. I opened it and turned the key to hear You Are My Sunshine delicately playing.

"You remembered."
