Adrien didn't sleep all night. He could still feel Marinette's lips touching the side of his. The blonde wondered if his classmate had felt the same sparks he had when her lips touched his skin.

Adrien sighed dreamily. He had never felt sparks before. Even thinking about it made his stomach flutter. He fell hard, and he knew it. He just hoped he could somehow earn her love. Adrien was not sure he would be able to handle her rejection. Hell, he would probably leave Paris if that were to happen.

The blonde held the lucky charm Marinette had given him closer to his heart. The bluenette had no idea how much she was affecting him. Only a day had passed since starting the vacation, and he was already falling harder than ever. There was just one problem. Kagami!

The girl's phone call had changed something between Marinette and him. That much was obvious. She had practically kicked him out of her room last night, and it hurt. It had taken Adrien's willpower not to return to her room last night and do more than kiss her. Because lord Jesus, his hormones were all over the place when it came to her. But he couldn't do that. They were still young. Yes, they were close to 18 already, but Adrien wanted a real relationship with the bluenette. He wanted it all, the dating, engagement, and marriage, but after last night, it was clear the bluenette was not ready for anything more than friendship.

If only he could change that.

Marinette sighed as her alarm rang. She promised her parents to wake up early to start decorating the house for Christmas, but she was exhausted.

Last night was hell for her. She did not remember what time she fell asleep, but she remembered it was somewhere during her silent sobs.

The situation with Adrien was torture. Marinette was unsure how to handle two weeks of Adrien's company while trying to remove her feelings for the blonde. But that was what she would do. She would get over Adrien Agreste.

After Kagami's call last night, Marinette was sure she needed to move on. Adrien had Kagami, and she would only be a friend. She had been stupid to think otherwise.

Marinette sat up in bed and turned off her alarm. She couldn't help but continue wondering if Adrien was playing with her feelings because the more she remembered the events, the more it seemed Adrien was deliberately flirting with her.

But it's okay! He would fail. Marinette Dupain Cheng is too busy to spend time with Adrien Agreste as of last night.

Adrien smiled as he greeted the Dupain Chengs. "Good morning, Adrien," Sabine responded as she continued to cook breakfast. "Could you do me a favor and wake Marinette up, please," she added. Adrien nodded with a smile and ran up to wake up the sleeping princess.

Maybe if he was lucky, he could wake her up with a kiss.

Adrien knocked on the door but was surprised when the door opened right away, and an already-dressed bluenette appeared. Adrien hid his disappointment. 'So much for that kiss,' he thought.

Marinette froze as she saw the blonde on the doorstep. How could she avoid him if he kept showing up at her door?

"Morning, princess," Adrien spoke with a smile. "Your parents sent me to bring you down for breakfast," he quickly added.

"Oh, umm, right. I'll be down in a minute," Marinette replied, quickly shutting the door in his face.

Adrien felt confused and hurt. He couldn't understand how one phone call changed everything with them. It was as if they had never left school. Marinette was back to her old self, avoiding him at any cost. Adrien bit his lip. He had no idea how he could fix this. How could the model show her that she meant something to him? Adrien knew he was willing to fight, but how could he do that when he had no idea where to start?
