***Hello, my lovelies. Guess who is back?? I am sorry for the long wait. Life has been crazy. But I promise to start updating more often. Thanks for all the love while I was gone. MF***
"Merry Christmas!"
Adrien woke up to the loud and happy Christmas yells of the Dupain Chengs at his door. The tired blonde grunted. It wasn't that he wasn't super excited, but he had not been able to sleep all night. He kept replaying the kiss in his mind, and the more he thought about the following events, the more upset he became. Not only with himself and Kim.
Why the hell didn't he confess?
Why did Kim have to interrupt them?
AHHH, it was so aggravating. The night was supposed to be perfect, and it almost was, but he froze. But there was still today. It could still be ideal.
Adrien smiled big at that thought. Maybe it was meant to be today all along. It was Christmas, after all. It could be perfect. They could be sitting around the Christmas tree, and he could give her the perfect present, and then he could confess his love to her, something like "the greatest present I can ever receive is for you to agree to be my girlfriend."
Yes, that's it, Adrien.
With a giant smile on his face, Adrien stood up and ran out of the room. "Merry Christmas!" He responded happily. _____________________________________Marinette grunted as she heard her parents' loud, happy yells. She was extremely exhausted. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get any sleep. She tossed and turned and then tossed and turned again. It was torture.
"Merry Christmas!" She heard Adrien's happy tone run through the hall and smiled.
"Adrien," she whispered. This year was about Adrien. She had promised him a perfect Christmas, and she couldn't allow her crazy feelings to come in between that. Today, she wouldn't talk about feelings. Today, she would focus solely on making Christmas perfect for the blonde. With a smile, Marinette reached for the last presents she had hidden under her bed and got ready for a perfect Christmas. ___________________________________
"Ah, ah, ah. Keep away from the presents, boys," Sabine called out as she and Marinette set the breakfast on the table. "Oh, come on, just one," Adrien called out, holding one of the gifts with his name on it while Tom tried hiding the one in his hands behind his back.
"Nice try. Now put the presents down, and let's eat."
The two men laughed and headed towards the table.
"Wow," Adrien whispered as he looked at the table in front. The Dupain Chengs had fed him amazingly this past week, but today was different. They had outdone themselves. Christmas tree-shaped pancakes and eggs that looked like presents. Gingerbread cookies and ornament-shaped ham. There was an incredible variety, even sandwiches.
"What is it, kitty? Have you never seen breakfast before?" Marinette teased.
Adrien blushed, feeling embarrassed. "Not like this, princess, not like this," the blonde whispered, still amazed.
Marinette mentally cursed herself for the dumb comment. She was so busy trying to make the boy of her dreams blush that she didn't realize what she had said. Of course, Adrien had not seen a breakfast like this. It was his first real Christmas, after all. Noticing his daughter's embarrassment, Tom spoke up. "Well, dig up my boy. We have to get to those presents."
