It feels good.
It feels mmh good.Everything looks better and feels better. Of course it wasn't valium (though Jack had originally been under the impression it was before deciding to take it) but whatever it was, it was doing the trick.
The high he experienced wasn't what he'd have expected coming from sketchy party drugs.
It didn't have him biting his tongue off and it didn't give him any crazy hallucinations or anything like that. It also wasn't like drinking, it didn't make you feel slower or labored. In fact, he felt more aware and more awake then ever. It wasn't like anything he'd ever felt before; it was absolutely magical.
He felt hyper, aroused, sped, warm.. hot actually as he was sweating buckets in the back seat of this poor man's cab.
"Hey. Put in your address.." he felt her hand on his shoulder giving him a little shake. He felt a tingling sensation coursing through his veins at her soft touch. He leaned into her hand gently, shivering only slightly.
"Drive to the nearest hotel" he said with an excited smile. Lola looked at him confused, Jack noticed and looked down at her with glassy eyes. Eyes that held blown; huge pupils nearly covering her whole iris. "Lets have a sleepover, I can't go home like this."
The look of confusion switched to one of elation. "Sleepover? Since when have you started come up with all the fun ideas?" She said through giggles, lightly swatting his arm.
He laughed "since I took whatever you gave me"
His laugh sounded like heaven to Lola. She'd never heard him laugh like that and couldn't help but feel she'd miss it after tomorrow when eventually he'd have go home and would forget all about her. She knew soon enough he'd draw away from her, as she'd given him all the information he'd needed for his dear friend Eric.
But thinking about that made her sad; ruined her high. So she'd sit in that dingy cab and steal glances at the boy beside her throughout the whole ride.
They pulled up to the nearest hotel and Lola winced as it just so happened to also be the priciest.
"Don't worry about the room, Lola. I'll cover it, no biggie" he said acknowledging her reluctance while pulling her in through the double doors.
Jack dropped her off on the couch in the lobby while he went to talk the hotel staff into getting him a room. Her fingers tapped rapidly against the arm of the sofa. She watched as he dug into the front desk lady, desperate to get them a room despite the fact that this hotel was the kind you'd have to book wayyy in advance for.
She waited briefly before Jack came jogging over to her.
"I talked my way into one bed. Is that alright?"
She nodded. He ran back to the front desk, presumably to pay. When he returned he gently lifted her hand, holding it in his before spinning around and dragging her up the stairs, completely dismissing the elevator. He felt to hyper to stand still in an elevator.
He felt close to crawling out of his skin as he ran up the spiral stairs but eventually burst through the doors to the 11th floor.
Jack felt the hallways looked weird while running through them, his grip on Lola's hand tightened, but as he slowed down she sped up. The patterned carpet started to swirl and spin under his feet, loosing its original shape.
