today was date day. colby has plans before our dinner. i got up and got dressed. he said it was a really fancy restaurant. i put on a long red dress and black heels. i curl my hair and put a little braid in it. i do my make up and go into my room.

"ready?" i nod my head and head out into the car. he takes me to all these places. "our reservations are at 7pm so we can chill here looking at stars" he says. colby knows my favorite thing is to watch the stars. i point out all the constellations.

we get to the restaurant and get seated. we are at this french restaurant. both me and colby have only had french food two times but we both like it.

we ate and drank for a little bit. colby went to the bathroom so i was just on my phone at the table.

i felt a tap on my back so i turn around and see colby getting down on one knee. he pulls out this mushroom case with the most beautiful ring. i start tearing up.

"nora grace hardy. your the love of my life , and i want to spent the rest of my life with you. i want to be there for you forever ,so nora , will you marry me?" i was shocked i never thought i'd be here. getting engaged to my brother's best friend. "yes!" i said as he got up and kissed me. we hugged for a while before we sat down again. i wiped my tears and we both started talking about our future.

"me and nate called y'all's mom and i actually think it was the day you were over at her house and i just asked both of them if i could do this when i got back and they both said yes. your moms answer was almost instant nate took about five minutes but he still said yes" he said laughing. "she was acting weird that day actually i knew something was up." i had the biggest smile on my face.

ever since our dad left nate's always stepped in as my 'dad' even though he's my brother but it's sweet sometimes when we don't fight.

me and colby go home and everyone is sitting in the kitchen. we walk in hand in hand and nate shoots a look to him. i held up my hand and evvie screams and practically brings me down to the floor by jumping on me. kat come over and gives me a hug. "can't wait for sam to do this" she whispers in my ear and i look at sam. "samuel you better step it up" i say making kat blush.

me and colby get ready for bed and lay down. "goodnight baby i love you" "goodnight i love you too" we instantly fall asleep.
