Coming Home?

"Are you sure dude? I think it would be a problem if you come home too early. You have many engagements back there. Plan on another day." My junior attorney, Jinyoung asked me.

"I think, it's okay. I'll ask the team to leave for a while to take care of some business." I replied.

"Will do Y/N. Just take your time there, and tell me if you're close to the airport. Bye!" Jinyoung replied before ending the call. Sighing, it was a decision that will change someone's life, but I need to take care today's business for the time being.

Driving my way to the One Buccaneer Place, I immediately go to the General Manager's office to see if it'll okay for him to go back home.

"Oh Yoo, what can I do for you?" the GM Jason Licht welcomes me, making some roster moves.

"Well GM, I will take my leave for a while. I miss my family back in Korea and I want to visit them before I come back for the training camp." I replied.

"Well, being away from the family is really hard. The training camp for rookies won't be started until May 12, so you're clear to go." The general manager said. "But, you need to return a week before the start of the training camp to condition your body," he added.

"Damn, it's like a week away. I guess I need to get back here in an instant," I replied in a low voice.

"Don't be discouraged, this is why you signed up for. You can reschedule your visit after the minicamps so that there will be months before the preseason." He replied, assuring me that there will be a chance after the minicamps here and there.

After I left the office, I immediately called Jinyoung to deliver the sad news.

"Yo Jin?"

"Hoon-hyung?"

"I guess this will wait for a couple of weeks. The minicamp's won't start until May 12. It's a short time if I go there and work for the papers."

"Hyung, let me do the talking for you. I'll need your help later if you need to."

"*sigh* It's okay Jinyoung. I'll catch up once I get back there."

"I'll take note of this hyung."

After the conversation, I go to the gym to look if I can work for a bit. Looking at the surroundings, there were no players who are working out. I then look for the operator of the speaker and asked if I can play my songs. After 5 minutes, my phone connects with the speaker. I then head to the cable machine, modified the intensity, and played "Cupid" by Fifty Fifty.

I started the routine by using the right handle, grabbing to the left. I then do the same with the left handle, then both sides. I kept repeat the routine for 50 minutes before transferring to the leg pressing machine, which I think is the machine I love to use back in college. I mean my legs were made from that machine, the thing of beauty.

After going the arms and legs exercise, I took a break with a Gatorade and jogging back and forth around the room. As the songs kept changing, a door was opened. Panicking, I immediately turned off the music as my teammate and fellow quarterback Baker Mayfield entered the gym.

"Yo, who put the music out?"
