I watched Jo Dee run and tell mom and Kaci that dinner was ready and I smiled. She was so energetic and full of life. "Thanks for inviting me to dine wit you lass it sure beats eating with all the guys." Rusty said and I smiled "Oh its no problem I enjoy your company." I said as he helped me set the table. I was laughing because Rusty was telling me a joke when everyone came in. "Oh so your moving on to another man! What one man not enough for you!" my mom spat and that's when I lost it "I was raped by your husband when I was only 16 years old he had 15 different men with him! I was a virgin when he took me for the first time. They cut, beat, and raped me everyday for three months mother!" I paused.
I starting taking off all my clothes until I stood before her naked. "Do you see mother? Do you see what they did to me what he carved into my stomach 'property of Stanley!" I yelled. I just couldn't take it anymore. She was always taking his side and I was her flesh and blood daughter. I never did anything for her to treat me the way she did. I never understood why she hated me so much.
I soon felt a shirt wrap around me and I looked up to see Rusty I knew he would never look at me the way a man did to a woman. He must think seeing my naked body was disgusting. He must have read my thoughts because he leaned in to whisper "Believe me Tori I would love nothing more then to look and or touch that beautiful body of yours but I know your not ready for that yet and I can wait for you." he picked me up and carried me back to my bed room and laid me softly down on the bed. "Thanks Rusty" I whispered and he leaned in to kiss me on my forehead.
He turned to leave and stopped "I'll be here for you when you need me lass." he said as he left me alone. I got dressed again and made it down stairs as they were all sitting around the table to eat. Once again I didn't see my mother and I was kind of hoping that she left for good. "Come here sit down by me." Kaci said and Rusty placed a plate in front of me as I sat. Mmm I forgot how good meat actually was. I finished off two plates before I was finally full. As everyone was finishing up I stood up to clear off the table but Rusty beat me too it. "Allow me miss go on out side and I'll bring you and Kaci a glass of cooled iced tea." he said and I just nodded I really didn't know what to say or do. I never had anyone take care of me I was so use to doing it all myself.
We walked out and I sat on the swing and Kaci sat on one of the patio chairs and Jo Dee sat on the steps playing with her dolls. Rusty came out and handed Kaci her tea before walking over to me and sitting down before handing me my tea. I wasn't as afraid of Rusty as I am with others it was quite weird. If anyone else had sat next to me I would have freaked out and ran inside. He had a cup of coffee in his hands and for a little while we all sat and talked.
It was about 15 minutes before I got the courage to ask him "Rusty can you do me a favor?" I looked down to afraid he was going to get mad. He cupped my cheeks gentle and forced me to look up at him "I sure can lass it'd be my pleasure." he said and I couldn't help but to think he was just so handsome for his age.
Black shoulder length hair sprinkled with grey and deep green eyes as he raised a brew at me. "Oh um I was uh just wondering if you could go shopping for me in the morning?" I had asked and I tried looking away but he gently kept me looking at him. "I'd be honored to Tori" he said before letting go of my face and he winked at me causing me to blush. He got up and took our cups to refill them. "So I see Rusty likes you!" Kaci teased me and I blushed even more.
