~the past~

A year ago
Before Lorèna and Jodie were inseparable she had another friend group 'the middles' they consist of girls on the cut who were also friends with some of the boys on figure eight.
The group consists of  Charlie Pierce,Mya Summers,Kate Summers and of course Lorèna Davis herself.

The girls met in school when they tried out for the cheer squad and all got places on the team,they would practice together and quickly became close as they all wanted the same thing, popularity.
They spent every day trying to make themselves the 'It girls'.They would spend hours doing skincare,hair,makeup and choosing outfits that would make them stand out and look pretty.As people started to notice them they started gaining attention from the boys and girls,being invited to parties and hangouts with the popular people.
That takes us to the moment Lorèna met JJ.

The boneyard

The girls were walking to boneyard for the party,nerves and excitement bubbling up inside of them as they giggled running towards the beach.
"Guys I'm so excited ekkk"Charlie screamed. "Okay let's get drinks and we only split up if we end up with hot guys or in your case Kate hot girls,yeah?"mya says.we all agree and get drinks we start meddling with people having conversations and dancing.As the party goes on everyone ends up splitting and going off with different people leaving Lorèna alone walking round just thinking.
She goes to get another drink from the kegger when a voice appears. "Hey your Lorèna right?" "Yeah that's me" she says turning around to be met by a blonde haired boy with bright blue eyes and bruises on his face,clearly from a fight.she looks him up and down examining him. "First time I've seen you at a party"he says before drinking out of a red solo cup still keeping eye contact while doing do. She smiles "yeah only just got into this kinda thing,still abit new to it all" "you having fun?" The blonde said. "Meh it's alright I guess all my friends are dancing with random people and I'm just drinking" he smirks at her "what?" She says while laughing. He reaches his hand out "You look like you wanna dance cmon" she takes his hand willingly being dragged into the crowd.

"What's your name anyways?"she says into his ear over the loud music. "You don't know my name?" He says in shock putting his hand on his heart before spinning her around. "No"she says while giggling. "JJ,JJ Maybank"
She widens her eyes " oh I do know you,your friends with John b and your the so called bad boy"she says in a playful tone. He looks her up and down before leaning in and kissing her.she doesn't resist and kisses him back as the alcohol is pulsing through her body.

As the party dies down Lorèna and JJ go to find the rest of her friends.All the girls ended up leaving with different people which left Lorèna and JJ by themselves.
"You can come back to John bs with me if you want we just gotta be quiet"he says and she just nods.

They stumble through the house giggling and whispering trying to not fall over while the both of them are clearly pissed out of their heads.JJ pulls Lorèna through the house reaching the room he always sleeps in claiming it as his own. They both sit on the bed finally stopping from giggling and just looking at each.Lorena leans in and smashes her lips against his,as they kiss it's begins to get more heated as the kisses get rough,they both start to undress each other before JJ pushes her back on the bed and climbing on top of her not breaking the kiss.

Lorèna woke up the next morning with a massive hangover,she sits up from the bed rubbing her head while clutching the covers over her naked body.She looks to the side of her to see JJ led on his stomach arms sprawled out and face squished against the pillow.She smiles at the sight looking at the way the sun beamed through the window shining on his perfectly golden skin.
After a few minutes of looking at the boy she grabbed her things and got dressed trying her best not to wake the sleeping body next to her,she grabbed her shoes and left the room closing the door behind her,she crept towards the living area were the front porch were.As she got closer she saw three people eating cereal staring at her. She smiled awkwardly "I'm just gonna leave"she says embarrassed before leaving the house hearing whispering as she did.

As she was walking home she opens her phone to thousands of messages from her mum telling her not to return back. She sighs before opening the group chat.

A few months later

The girls ended up distancing and they went from being four of them to three then soon after just being two.The ones left we're Lorèna and Charlie,they ended up meeting a girl named Jodie Fields who was new to Kildare and just moved to the Outerbanks,they became close and everything was going well until Charlie's parents got a raise and moved to figure eight and forcing Charlie to transfer schools.
Jodie and Lorèna became closer as they opened up to each other,Jodie promised to never leave Lorèna as she knew all her other friends did and promised to protect Lorèna at all costs and as rules reversed aswell.

Lorèna hooked up with JJ a second time but ended up stopping speaking to him as she hooked up with Rafe Cameron the same night and he found out and kicked off,Lorèna and JJ ended up having a fight like an old married couple in front of everyone.She swore she would never speak to him again after he embarrassed her publicly.Everyone then started called her a slut and it kinda just stuck after that but Jodie never left her side and they both just decided to not give a single fuck anymore and went by the motto 'hakuna matata' from the lion king.

Lorèna still spoke to the other girls every so often but no more than a hi how are you sorta thing or a smile when they are with their own group of people.

And that's the past.
