*Hope's POV*
It's been about four months. Four months since I changed. Four months since it happened. Four months since I became this way. You may ask what way? Most people don't see it. Most people don't even pay attention. I am depressed. I was diagnosed a week after it happened.
Before I was so happy. I haven't felt happy in months. My depression has become severe, to the point I have to be hospitalized. But there was a reason I needed to be hospitalized.
I was currently walking down a white hall to the room I will be staying in for the next month. The hall had a strong smell of rubbing alcohol, to the point where it burned the inside of my nose.
My mother was rolling my suitcase down the hall in front of me as she finally turned into the room. A nurse was standing in there waiting for us.
"Here you are!" The nurse said a little to cheerfully.
I looked around the white room, the walls where white, the beds were white, everything was white. Then my eyes landed upon someone.
He was weak looking and adorable at the same time. He looked sickly. He had brown wavy hair and brown eyes. He smiled at me. I gave him a strait face.
"Oh yes. This is Leon." The nurse said motioning to the boy. "You will be sharing a room with him."
(Leon is above ^)
My eyes shot to the nurse. She didn't just say what I thought she did, did she?
I was sharing a hospital room with this stranger named Leon.
*Leon's POV*
The beautiful girl, who I didn't even know her name yet, was just finishing unpacking her stuff. She put her last thing in the droor, then layed down on her bed and covered her eyes with her hands. She was fairly short, she had blonde hair and I couldn't tell what color eyes.
When she took her hands off her face she looked over at me. "You have been staring at me for like five minutes now."
I smiled at her smart remark. She had laced venom into what she had said. You could tell she had little to no patience with other people.
I decided to speak. "I was trying to figure out what color eyes you have." I said simply. I cracked a smile at her which she willingly gave me a small side smile. I was growing on her.
"Amber. I have amber eyes." She replied with no venom this time.
I have never heard of Amber eyes before. That eye color was something new to me. Just like her.
"Can I ask what your name is?" I asked. She looked at her bracelets she had in her wrist. They ran all up and down her arm, like they were trying to covering something.
"My name is Serenity. But you can call me Seren." She looked me in the eyes.
"I thought the nurse said your name was Hope?" Her eyes turned darker and her hands balled into fists. She looked as if she could kill someone.
"Don't. Call. Me. That." She spat, then she looked back at her bracelets. Serenity swirled one of the bracelets in circles around her wrist.
I raised my eyebrows. "I'm sorry?" She didn't like her first name. I had the same problem. My name was Leonardo. What kind of person names their child Leonardo? My mother. That is who would. It was like my mother wanted me to be made fun of with a name like that. So I shortened it to Leon, giving myself a nickname that now everyone calls me.
Serenity hadn't looked back over to me since I called her 'Hope'. She just circled her bracelet around her wrist.
"Well nice to meet you Seren."

I was watching Ridiculousness earning an occasional laugh from the other side of the room where Seren was reading a book.
Nights in the hospital are normal for me now. I have been here for a week now. My leukemia got bad and I had to come here for them to monitor me.
"Hey Leon?" Seren asked. I looked over at her. She had glasses on and her black nails stood out of the white cover of her Conner Franta book.
"Yeah?" I replied, muting the TV so I could hear her. The room was darkening as the sun hid behind part of the hospital.
"Do you want to play 20 questions?" She sounded nervous. "Like you know, if I'm going to be here for a month we should get to know each other. You know?" She trailed off.
"Okay. You go first." I smiled at her, but the question she asked was unexpected.
"What is your whole name Leon?" Her voice held questioning.
I thought about it. If I told her she would either make fun of it or say it was unique. Everyone I have met but a certian few have made fun of my name. Some people even remembered my name as an actor who is Leonardo Dicaprio. But I still didn't like my name.
"Pass." I said blankly.
Her face turned confused. "Okay?" She must be confused why I won't tell her my real name.
"If your just depressed, why were you hospitalized?" I asked.
"Pass." She said with a blank face.
