Bound to fall - Chpt 2: A familiar face

Dazai turned his phone off and laid face down on his bed, hugging his pillow. He didn't quite understand why he felt saddened by the day, however he didn't want to think about it.

He attempted to sleep for a few hours however he couldn't quite fall asleep.

He was questioning what to do.
"Should I go speak to him? No he wouldn't want to see me....besides I left him years ago."

Eventually Dazai gave up on sleeping and sat up. He looked back over to his phone which he had on do not disturb. He turned it off and to no surprise there were several messages from both Kunikida and Atsushi.

Dazai opened Kunikida's first.

Kunikida

Have you gotten home yet? Did you
take any medicine to help?

Hello!? Dazai answer me!

If you're trying to commit suicide again
I'll do the favor for you!

I haven't found a beautiful woman to
commit suicide with, so no I was not. I was
just sleeping.

Well you still need to take some
medication.

I suggest you eat something aswell
not eating will only ensure you
stay sick.

Yeah, yeah, yeah I know, I'll eat later.

You'd better not be lying again.

evidence to prove you incorrect.

Um sure, I'll see you tomorrow.

Dazai was quite amused by the conversation.
Kunikida was right though he had no intentions of eating.

Dazai then opened Atsushi's messages.

Atsushi

Hey Dazai are you alright now?

Hello?

I've done most of your work Kunikida
won't let me do anymore.
I tried I'm sorry.

Dazai it's been three hours, are
you alright?

Hello Atsushi! I still don't feel well
but I'm feeling better than earlier.

Man Kunikida always gets in the way,
I'm surprised he let you do anything at all.

Will you be able to work tomorrow?

Or do you think you'll still be sick?
May I ask why you didn't respond
for three hours?

I don't know if I'll be in tomorrow.
That depends on how I feel in the morning,
I'll message you once I've decided.

I was asleep I didn't mean to worry you.

Oh alright, then I'll see you later!

Dazai sat his phone back down and looked around the room. He decided to get up and take a walk somewhere. He didn't know where but he just wanted to walk around for a bit.

Dazai then got out of bed and began getting ready. He put on a simple outfit containing jeans, a grey shirt, and a simple coat.
"This will just have to work."

Dazai walked out of his home. He was walking in a specific direction but didn't quite understand why.

After a couple minutes of walking he stopped at a familiar place.

"Why did I stop here...oh."

It was the place he and Chuuya used to run off to back when they were kids. Dazai sat down on a bench and looked at the ground.

The sky was blue with a few gray clouds, it was probably going to rain soon. The sun was shining on the river in front of him. It looked beautiful and Dazai just kept staring at it while his thoughts were racing.

After around 10 or so minutes he saw someone from the corner of his eye. He couldn't quite tell who it was until he looked a little closer.

A rather short ginger was in front of him around 20 or so feet away. He was sitting down on the ground in the bushes.
"Oh no..."

It was Chuuya...for a minute he wanted to walk over to him. However he knew that wouldn't end well, he'd just end up getting kicked or punched.

Chuuya began turning around and Dazai had to quickly jump up and hide, he immediately rushed home.

After getting back home he shut the door and leaned on it. That was the last person he wanted to see, especially today.
