Before heading to my grandma's house, I first stopped at a gas station to call her and ask if it were okay that I came over. Of course this was all said while trying not to cry, so she asked what was wrong. I told her I'd explain when I got there and hung up just in time for me to loose it again. There I was, in my car, in a gas station parking lot, crying my eyes out. When had the happiest time of my life become the worst? I tried to control my breathing and realized I should be thankful I still had the most important person in my life to call mine. Boy was I lucky to have her. That seemed to calm me down, so I finished the drive to my grandma's house. Upon pulling in her driveway, I walked quickly up her sidewalk and found her sitting on her favorite chair on the porch. I gave her a big hug and started crying. After a few minutes of crying, I sat next to her and told her like a blubbering idiot everything that had occurred in the past day or so, along with my big secret. She, of course, accepted me into her loving arms as she always did when I was a small child. After a few more minutes of comforting me, she decided to go call her daughter and have a long talk with her. I smirked a bit to myself, thinking just how great my grandma really is. I didn't get to hear the conversation between them unfortunately because my own phone started buzzing. I numbly pulled it out and felt a wave of relief as I realized it was my dad. With a lump in my throat the size of Jupiter, I answered with a weak, "Hello?" "Are you okay? Where are you?" "I'm fine, dad. I decided to spend a few days with grandma until things settle down at home. I don't feel like getting the crap beat out of me again." I winced remembering my mom yanking me by the shoulder and smacking me. "Everything will be okay, I promise. Your mother just needs time to get this through her head and to accept it. Everything will be back to normal in a few days." "Well grandma went to go call Mom so I don't think things will be normal for quite a while," I sighed and looked out at the beautiful land my grandparents owned. It still wasn't as beautiful as the girl waiting for me back home. We said our goodbyes and I then passed out on my grandma's couch and had the worst nightmare ever... Well almost as bad as real life.
