It has been a solid two weeks since Shizuku surrendered to death. I've suffered massive guilt, considering I've killed my sister and Kohane and Akito's friend. Us three have been sticking together, as I am writing this we are in what we thought was an abandoned cabin in the woods we escaped town in. I've felt sick this entire time. I told them, "Hey, I've been feeling sick. Is this a symptom?" they responded with "Hinomori, if you surrender to this virus, I swear to god." We had a moment of quiet since we heard something. "The hells that?" Akito whispered. "AS if we are supposed to know?!" Kohane whispered, sounding very aggravated. She's been.. Well, paranoid. Since we watched An die, kinda affected her like it did me. I listened. It sounded familiar. It was.. my sister?
"Shiiii... Shiii?.." She called. "Shiiiiii.. It's sis... Come outttt.. Mom wants you to come.. hoomme..." Akito and Kohane looked shocked. as we arrived in the cabin, I told them what had happened to my sister. "Isn't your sister.. Dead?" Kohane whispered. "That's not Shiziku." I whispered, scooting slowly into the closet shortly behind us. The other two hid there, too. "Shiiii... Shiii..? Who else is thereee?.." She called. "Damn, your sister is hesitant, isn't she?" Akito whispered. Kohane was sobbing due to being scared. I was almost, but I had not. "Hane, get the knofe we got from Pheonix Stage last week, should be in the bag we collected." I whispered. Kohane grabbed what I told her to, I got up from the closet, clutching the sharp object within my hands. "Shizuku?" I yelled. Not once flinching as I heard groans and inhumane steps up the stairs. I'd be faced with Shizuku once more. Her head deformed, like how I dented it with my guitar. "Shiii.. You must join me.. Join us.." "Shizuku" groaned. I lifted my knife, gashing a gap in her throat, blood pouring. "Shiiii.. Join us.." She said again. I could tell the other two were horrified of what consequences would happen if I joined them. I lifted my knife again. Stabbing her several times in her abdomen. She fell, and I felt the same guilt again. I did not bother waste another moment next to my fake sister. My sister was dead. There was no changing it. "We must leave. We must hurry as well. She will wake up again no matter how many times I stab her." I said, wiping the zombie blood from my face. Kohane and Akito slowly got out of the closet. They looked at me from the doorway, horrified. "She's.. Still awake.." Akito mumbled, as he pointed out Shizukus hand slowly moving toward my foot. I stomped on it, breaking it. "Now, we must go." I said, leading both from the cabin. We walked endlessly through the forest until night. I had a water bottle we shared through this endless walk, which is more important to keep hydrated. Germs do not matter now. We were in a life or death situation. We approached another town, and this one looked like a ghost town. We saw Akitos sister there, we didn't know why. Not even he did, which was surprising. "Yo, Ena!" Akito shouted. She looked at us, waving. She looked like she got bit by them. Which set me into panic. Kohane noticed, poking Akito, pointing out my panic. Ena got caught off guard by this behavior. "Is something wrong?.. Why is everyone looking at me like that.." She mumbled, smiling awkwardly.
This would be her last smile.
Akito took the knife stained with Shizukus blood, aiming it at her. "You're just one of them, aren't you, Ena?" He yelled. Confused, Ena began sobbing. "Why are you guys so mean to me now?!" She yelled. We knew we messed up. Akito would not put the knife down. "Akito, put it down. She's not one of them, but it down.." We begged him. He wouldn't. He slowly approached Ena, pulling her up. "You better tell us who the hells side you're on, sis." He said, looking at her, then the knife. Kohane ran to him, trying to grab the knife from him. As he tried keeping it away from Kohane, he accidentally stabbed Ena. She screamed in response. I was horrified. She was perfectly human.. and she had to be taken out. Akito thought she was one of them, so he kept stabbing her. He was trying to get rid of her, so he wouldn't have to deal with her again. He let go as she passed out. "Akito, you just.. Killed a fucking human!" I yelled at him. "How FUCKING desperate are you to kill your own sister just to get out of this mess?! That girl loved you like a brother and you took her ass out of earth, what kinda asshole does that?!" I yelled. "I might have killed my sister, but I HAD too. She'd kill me, and then both of you'd be fucking DEAD!" I continued yelling. Kohane tending to the lifeless wounds. I took the knife from him, slashing his hand accidentally. "Shit—" He groaned, covering his hand. I dropped the knife. Sobbing, I ran off to a nearby alleyway. Sitting as Kohane tended to Akitos wounds as well. "Now, where did Hinomoro go?" "I.. Dunno. She ran after she accidentally slashed my hand." They spoke. I sobbed uncontrollably, making it obvious where I was. Kohane was the one who discovered me, bringing Akito with her. Kohane attempted to comfort me. Akito stood guard of any other foes.
