Chapter 9

[Name] was quiet for a minute as they recalled what Levi had told them last night. How the credit card was the only thing that Mammon would take as compensation for the money, and how they needed to subtly ask Lucifer about it.

'Ugh, this is revolting, why am I even helping that demon anyway.' they grumbled in their mind, "Lucifer, what happens when a student's belongings are confiscated?"

Lucifer looked a bit puzzled by the random question as students slowly began to pile into the classroom. Sighing, the Avatar of Pride took the empty seat next to the adeptus, brushing some of his ebony hair back as he sat.

"... Why would you want to know something like that?" he questioned, but didn't ponder too hard, "Regardless, I suppose it doesn't hurt to tell you. Compared to other schools, RAD traditionally allows its students quite a bit of freedom. However, if the student council decides that a student possesses something that is causing problems, we do confiscate it in some cases."

Lucifer's brows then furrowed, "Sometimes we return the item to the student after a certain amount of time, and sometimes we don't." his gaze looked at [Name]'s sharp, [Eye.C] eyes.

"Any particular reason you asked?" the black haired demon hummed.

[Name] nodded in response, a dark gaze bestowing on their face, "Leverage."

"Leverage?" Lucifer grinned, "Interesting, only a day in and you already have it out for someone? You are a rare find indeed."

"Blame your brothers." [Name] said.

"Ah... not even a day into the exchange and my brothers are already causing trouble. I think it's safe to assume that you're mainly referring to Mammon, am I right?"

The adeptus gave a nod, though they stiffened as they realized what they were doing, 'I can't believe that I'm just sitting here talking to this demon, how far have I fallen? I must've hit my head at some point during my fight with Bosacius.'

Lucifer quirked a brow at how [Name]'s mood seemed to dampen ever so slightly. Seeing the adeptus falter into reclusion once again made the demon smirk.

"Well then, as long as we're on the subject of my idiot of a brother, it just so happens that I've taken one particular weakness of his and frozen it." Lucifer laughed to himself, like he had just made the joke of the century.

[Name] pondered on the demon's words, specifically one in particular, 'Frozen... Lucifer, why would you give away such a crucial detail-?'

The adepti looked over towards the black haired demon. Lucifer felt their stare and glanced to the side where their eyes both met. [Name] opened their mouth to speak but was cut off by a loud ringing.

"Ah, that's the bell. Class is about to begin." Lucifer said.

[Name]'s mouth closed, sitting back in their seat. Students shutting up as the teacher at the front of the room wacked their desk with a ruler.

'This place is indeed strange... but the demons here are stranger.'

FIRSTLY- Im so sorry for how short this chapter is.

I KNOW YOU GUYS WANT THE GOOD SHIT AND DONT WORRY I GET THAT WAY TOO! PLEASE STAY STRONG FOR A WHILE LONGER!

I've recently gotten a job and with that added onto my schedule it's become a lot to deal with as being a high school student. Writing and drawing, two of my favorite hobbies and dreams, have become ever so harder to do and work on.

I know that a lot of y'all are going to be disappointed with this but know that this story isn't being dismissed, discontinued, or deleted! Just an author taking a whole bunch of time trying to figure out how to live LOL.

Other than that please comment on stuff that you think will happen or that you'd like to see happen either in the story or in a little short side story! Seeing y'all's comments make my days 100x better even if they're simple hi's and hello's!

TLDR: I'm a stressed high school student with a problem in procrastination 😍
