Chapter 5

"D'ah...! Levi...!" Mammon looked at the purple-haired demon that stood a few feet away from him. The demon's golden eyes held rage as his face was put into a scowl.

Mammon whipped his head around to [Name], "...Uh, l-listen up! This here is Leviathan, the Avatar of Envy. He's the third oldest of us brothers. Since his name's hard to say you can just call him Levi! Okay then , let's move on."

Mammon grabbed the adeptus's hand before they could react as he quickly tried to pull them away from the demon storming right for the Avatar of Greed.

"Mammon, give me back my money! Then go crawl in a hole and die!" Levi yelled as Mammon stopped in his tracks. [Name] used that distraction to quickly swipe their hand away from the second born and back tracked a couple steps to maintain space. Mammon didn't seem to notice as he was face to face with his fuming brother.

"Come one, I told you I'd get it to you! I just need a little more time... And you still want me to die even after I give it back? That's real harsh, Levi!"

"You need a little more time? How much more?" Levi scoffed.

"A little more, okay?! A little more means a little more!"

"You've been telling me that for the last 200 years, Mammon!"

'Ganyu would have had Mammon's head on a stick if she heard this.' [Name] thought as they watched the scene unfold.

"Hey, no! It hasn't been 200 years, it's been 260! Get it right, Levi!" Mammon corrected which caused the purple haired demon to fume even more.

"Unbelievable. Seriously Mammon, you're-"
Before Levi could finish, Mammon interrupted, "I'm what? Scum? Is that what you're gonna say?"

Levi just picked up back where he left off from, "-you're a lowlife and a waste of space."

"Hey, come one! That's even worse!"

"Whatever," Levi shook his head disapprovingly, "just give me back my money. I need it to buy the Blu-ray box set of the Journey to the Devildom: The Tale of the Little She-Devil and Her Reluctant Companion. The initial round of copies includes promotional tickets to a live event as a special bonus."

Mammon looked confused as Levi finished talking, though [Name] couldn't blame him as they also wore a confused look.

'This world is very strange...'

"I've got no idea what you're even talking about, Levi, but it doesn't matter! Because I don't even have any money to give you. How am I supposed to give back money I don't have, huh?!"

"So then you're telling me you refuse to pay me back?"

"What? You looking for a fight, is that it?"

[Name] just watched silently, though before the two escalated Mammon turned towards them, "Hey, listen, whatever you are-"

"Adeptus."

"-yeah, yeah, adeptus or whatever. You remember my advice from before about what to do when demons attack? Well, you're about to witness that for real. So..." Mammon started booking it across the corridor as fast as he could while yelling, "...time for you to die, because if it's either you or me, it ain't gonna be me!"

"...Wh...dammit, Mammon! That ass. He ran off...!" Levi then turned to [Name] who gave him an icy cold glare, not that he cared to notice.

"Do you realize what just happened? Mammon used you as a distraction to get away from me... Or maybe I should say he used you as a sacrifice-"

"You touch me, you die."

Levi was a bit taken aback at what had come out from the 'humans' mouth, "Wha- hey! What human has the right to talk to me that way! I'll admit that Mammon is one of the scummiest scumbags you'll ever meet... a total lowlife. But still, that was pretty dumb of you letting him use you like that." Levi sighed, "This is EXACTLY why humans are-"
