Maruki's Office
Walking into Doctor Maruki's office I notice that it looks way different than the last office I remember him having. I roll my sleeves down as they ride up again.
Back when I first started visiting with Maruki he didn't even have an office, he just did his work in a standard high school doctor's office. The office being his own feels more personal than the old office on account of it being his own. Light shines through the windows, illuminating the pleasant room. The floor is covered with light tan tiles and a few chairs are littered around.
There are two desks placed against each other with many binders and books stack along side of the both of them, which I assume are for patient diagnosis and info. Next to the window is a scale, a counter, and a minifridge. A washbasin that is in pristine condition is in front of the fridge along with a cabinet. Various papers decorate the blackboard above the cabinet with a Snellen Chart to the left side to test eye sight. The decorations aside, Maruki sets me down on a folded chair and he sits on a rolling stool and grabs a paper, which he then puts on his clipboard.
"Okay, let's get to business, (Y/n). I'll try to keep this as brief as possible to not waste your time," he says with a smile while looking in eyes. I nod and he begins to go over his stuff. "First, I have a question for you; are you still struggling to talk to people?" I simply stare at him and he turns back to his clipboard. "Guess that answers that, haha. At least you seem to have made friends with one person, though."
"True," I say before going quiet again.
"Second, due to your situation your parents ordered some medicine for you." He pulls out a small white pill bottle. "This is is fluoxetine, take it daily. You don't need to worry about paying for it, your parents already have." He hands the bottle to me and I look at it. Sure enough it says fluoxetine. I unzip my backpack and place it inside. "Lastly, I wanted to talk to you personally. How have you been feeling?" My head jerks up when he ask this.
