My Bedroom

*YAAAWWWWWNNNN*

I stretch in my comfy bed and shuffle around for a minute with my eyes closed, letting the darkness continue to engulf me. I then wrap my legs inside a fold of the blanket covering me and cuddle closer to it. I know I should be getting up from the bed, but it's too comfy. It's the place where I feel the safest. I decide to lie there for a few more minutes and enjoy the serenity of a warm bed and a silent house.

...

"Okay, that's enough waiting."

I open my eyes and sunlight peaks into my eyes from the window. My curtains are still closed, so there's not much of it, but still enough to illuminate the room. I check my phone on the charger to see what time it is.

"10:00 AM, hm. I woke up early for today," I mumble to myself. "Woke up before my alarm too."

Today is Tuesday, meaning I only have one class today, as two of my last two classes happen to be online. I usually hate online classes do to video calls, but thankfully these two don't require them. They only require that you send in your work and show up when it's time to take exams. These two classes are Biology and Computer Science, thankfully not too hard of subjects. The best thing about these classes is that you can work on them during your free time, so it gives you time to manage at what time you'll do a particular project.

The class today, however is Music Appreciation. Not too difficult, just deals with understanding the value and importance of different styles of music throughout history. The class starts at 1:30 PM, so I have plenty of free time.

"Get up, do something of worth instead of sleeping longer."

I reluctantly slide out of bed and stretch, loosening my muscle. I walk slowly to the ceiling lamp and pull it, causing the lamp to light up the whole room. I slide out of my night wear and into clean a pair of jeans. I look at my left arm. Across my arm are scars that are sporadically spaced around, with no consistency to them. Some are deeper or longer than others, and some are barely noticeable. On my right arm lie few more, but mostly unnoticeable.

"You should put on a long sleeved shirt before you go out, it looks like a horror movie on your arm." I think to myself. I check the weather on my phone to look up the temperature.

"32 degrees?! How did it get so hot compared to the coolness of yesterday?!" (32 in Celsius is 90 in Fahrenheit)

There's no way I can go outside in a t-shirt, so I search my closet for anything in particular that can cover up at least one of my arms. I scrounge around until I find a long sleeve shirt that covers up both of my arms. It might be hot outside, but that won't stop me from wearing this if it means people won't look at my arms weirdly. I slide it on and go into the bathroom across the hallway. I look in the mirror at myself.
