Makima, the mysterious and powerful devil hunter, was sitting in her office, surrounded by piles of paperwork. She was deep in thought, trying to come up with a plan to deal with the latest threat facing the city.

As she was scribbling notes, the door to her office opened, and a devil hunter walked in. Makima looked up, her expression neutral.

"What is it?" she asked.

The devil hunter hesitated for a moment, then spoke up. "Makima, I need to talk to you about something. It's important."

Makima raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Go on."

The devil hunter took a deep breath, then spoke. "I think there's something off about you, Makima. I don't know what it is, but I can feel it. It's like you're hiding something from us."

Makima narrowed her eyes, studying the devil hunter. "Is that so? And what makes you say that?"

The devil hunter shifted uncomfortably. "I don't know. It's just...you always seem to be one step ahead of everyone else. And you never show any emotion, no matter what happens. It's like you're not even human."

Makima smiled wryly. "Is that a problem?"

The devil hunter hesitated, then spoke again. "I just think that we should know who we're working with. If there's something you're not telling us, it could put us all in danger."

Makima leaned back in her chair, her eyes glittering. "I see. Well, let me ask you something. Do you trust me?"

The devil hunter hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, I do. But that doesn't mean I'm not worried."

Makima stood up, her expression serious. "I understand your concern. But know this: I am on your side. I am here to protect this city and its people. And if that means keeping certain things hidden, then so be it."

The devil hunter nodded, looking slightly reassured. "I see. Thank you for explaining."

Makima walked over to the door and opened it, gesturing for the devil hunter to leave. "Of course. And remember, if you ever have any doubts or concerns, don't hesitate to come to me. I am always here to listen."

The devil hunter nodded, then left the office, leaving Makima alone with her thoughts once again.
